And yet another great event held in Ohio this season. As our final event of the season, what better way to end it with not only great weather and fishing, but our record fish for 2003 of 20lb 8oz being landed by Craig Welch fresh in from England. This fish was our 2003 Ohio Carp King award winner, and Craig received some very nice prizes for his accomplishment. Congratulations to you, Craig, for your knowledge and dedication toward carp fishing.

Another Congratulations is in order for Ak (Crappielooker) for his outstanding catch of 18lb 8oz at our final event. Ak received a nice collection of GoFishOhio.com merchandise to sport on his vehicle and on his head. Way to go “tazmanian carper”

Friday afternoon was host to a majority of our anglers, which spent the entire weekend bankside. Quite a few fish were landed, as well as new friendships made. Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning provided nearly 40 decent carp ranging from 5lbs to 18.5 lbs. Tim Petrak made the trip in from Pittsburgh, PA, and managed to catch his new personal best of 17.5lbs. Way to go Tim!

Early Saturday morning was VERY chilly with temps in the mid 40’s, and a gentle breeze across the lake. These conditions produced and awesome looking fog at sunrise, not to mention people shivering! Fog or not, Friday night into Saturday was a VERY successful session spent at our swims.

As usual, a great meal was prepared by all whom attended. The main courses were provided by Jon and Sean, which consisted of pulled pork and London broil. Many side dishes such as: Pasta Salad, Chips, Ruby Slaw, Beans, Hot Wings, Cheese, Veggies and others were provided. Thanks everyone for the great meal! What an added touch to this fine event!

Numerous people attended this fine event, so forgive me if I forget anyone.
