"Saturday in the Park, Fast and Light, Three-in-One" All Species Fishing Tournament
Are you tired of drawing a bad peg and being forced to sit all day at that peg with just a few if any captures? Here's your chance to participate in a little different concept for our July 28 tournament on the Illinois River in Ottawa, Illinois.
There will be three tournaments of between two and three hours each on the same day. You may use only one rod (one hook). We will draw for pegs at 6:30 a.m.(draw order by commitment order) and fish from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. At the conclusion of the first tournament, I will go from peg to peg collecting scorecards and having anglers draw for new pegs for the second round/tournament. At 10:30 a.m., anglers will move to their new pegs and prepare for the second tournament from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. At 1:00 p.m., the process starts anew for the third tournament from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Entry is $30 for the entire event. Each tournament is based on total weight captured during the time frame. With 17 anglers, payout will be $90 - 1st, $50 - 2nd, and $30 - 3rd for each of the three tournaments. There will be a $10 side pot for biggest common or mirror carp with a 60% -1st and 40%-2nd payout. Others may wish to conduct other pots.
This is a catch and release, all species, total weight event, but you better catch a few carp (common or grass) to win.
There will be no walk-on attendees. You must register by Friday, July 27, 2012 to participate.
