I'm also not quite sure what to make of this. I haven't bought an awful lot from Carpkit, but when I did Simon provided an excelent service. So has every other vendor I have bought from in the US, including Resistance Tackle in the past, Wackerbaits and Big Carp Tackle. All very profesional with an outstanding service. Never had an issue.
We don't know if the initiator of this post has had personal beef with the vendor, or something else entirely initiated the online dialogue. Or maybe Simon really messed up. Who knows.
But either way, I am not a big fan of trying to burn a business online. It looks bad, it feels bad, it smells bad. There are better ways to handle this.

I decided to challenge Austin, Brian and Brendan... They seem much worthier opponents than a confused English guy who still doesn't understand that boilies have no place in North America (right, Mario?).
I'm not playing, but with last week's catches I easily reach 140lb. On the boilie...

CAG needs to help out the mayor asap and in a structured fashion:
- Draft a standard letter for people to print and sign
- Set up the online petition
- Launch a media campaign raising awareness for the issue
CAG needs to become much more active in Public Affairs Management.

Insane fish, well done guys!!!

I would check if Sal, our NACA man, could help out...

All or nothing, there is no middle ground. Well done my friend...

You are telling me that Arapaima and Barramundi are not native to Thailand?
Catlocarpio siamensis........not a carp per se but they certainly grow big.
However, I do wonder what the Thai Govt might think about the miraculous appearance of Arapaima in a tourist lake not a million miles from Bangkok. That's one heck of a trip from the Amazon!

Maybe Jurrasic should pay for advertizing on this site rather than going for free plugs?

Excellent suggestion Dave.

All yours to play with guys. Just think Diggs has a point and I would guess that the majority of the CAG members want to see a North American scene on the cover, with or without fish, I don't really care either way. It's a great opportunity for the CAG members to put themselves in the spotlight so to speak. I would try not to copy the 20,000 other European magazines out there. Dare to be different. But you guys are right, if no members submit proper pics it's a mute point anyhow.
Members: It's your magazine, paid for by your membership contributions. If you want to be in it, be proactive and help out the NACA staff.

Diggs has a point though. As to the struggle for content, quality content does not come in by mail. A post on the forum is also fairly unproductive. Content has to be proactively chased. A phonecall or a pm works wonders...
Other than that, well done! Lovely pictures inside by the way...

Andy, thanks for everything my friend. It´s been a great ride brother and I'm glad to have been part of it with you. I wish you all the best. And as you know, "mi presa es tu presa"....

Dean,
Just don't underestimate the workload. A printed Special Edition NACA is not the same workload as a regular digital copy. I suggest getting the content asap.
-
That's disappointing. I think everyone would have been more than happy with 3 digital copies and one printed version. I know it’s a lot of work. Been there, done that. But having sponsors available and no one doing the work is a tough one. Huge missed oportunity in my opinion.

Guys, I think we started a well received project last year with the printed NACA, Special Edition. I understand there might even be some volunteers again to contribute in the costs. Is anyone working on this? I think the members would be more than grateful for the 2015 Special Edition!

This was the third day already so you kind of get used to it. But three days speedjigging and fighting a bunch of sharks from 300-400ft water does take it's toll. But what an awesome fishery there in Playa del Carmen. The tourists have no idea what they are missing....
Austin & Brendan - Carl & Alex - Best carp video ever!
