  1. As I have said I have no clue as to what and how it's done as you have explained??? Over my head.. Again I just have the knowledge of delivering the goods.. (Parcels) ???/......
  2. John try and contact Carl Those others I can't figure out
  3. Sounds like a plan Dave....................
  4. Dave I don't know all that you know about the inner CAG past I admit.. And I certainly don't want to argue. All I know is what I hear And many miss the printed NACA no matter what the printing was Our membership and retention is poor.. Maybe who am I to make suggestions. I was just a Teamster the guy who would most likely deliver the cases of newsletters !!!! What the hell do I know.....................................
  5. We went with the e-version, what we got was declining members. And when I solicit new CAG members, what do I tell them I'm going to offer them for being a member?? Tackle certificates??? Not all go on the computer daily A newsletter to "ALL the Members" each 1/4 or how many times a year we decide on guarantees all the members have reference to go back to. Business supporters alone would benefit when there goods and specials are advertised on a regular basis. Not looking to create another controversy But how CAG has promoted itself seems to not be working Back in our infant days we only had the newsletter And our membership was over a 1000 I know times have changed and CAG sponsored many carp forums, clubs, bait outlet, etc. which constituted a lot of our decline. But I feel going along or about the way we have is not working What have we got to lose Members??? Were in that mode already.
  6. Now a day with all the factors available Years ago a letter or a phone call was sometimes faster than now ???
  7. John considering your the "guy" whose going to get the newsletter printed I agree with you 100% Being close to the source of the one who's doing the printing alleviates many problems that might occur. Nice work. Keep me informed of progress Ed
  8. Why wasn't "Carls name ever mentioned prior to Skeet (John) stepping up to find a suitable printer. I have been speaking of a newsletter for years and always the problems was the cost and finding a printer. Of course we should use someone who has always supported and worked in our favor Maybe someone should get in touch with John who at the time has stepped up to help in the search for the printer of the very popular newsletter ??? I just feel that finally progress with getting this done is underway And as always controversy seems to pop up to hinder its progress???????? If Carl is the guy. Then someone should call (BOD) and call find out the particulars and "Get it Done" !!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Nice going Looking forward to see the progress.
  10. I believe John is looking into printers. I wonder if anyone has old info on the printer of years ago??? We can't loose momentum Were in the right direction and it looks like all seem on board for this newsletter..................................
  11. All the suggestions are being taken in account And all like you just suggested sounds great But lets concentrate on getting this newsletter out to the membership. At the moment John (Skeet) is looking at a few printers who can do all we need That is the biggest stumble block at the moment. But keep the momentum going to express the need for this newsletter. I was looking at the old archives CD I received from Willem. In the early days of CAG we got a news letter every 2 months like Jan and Feb and March and April etc. We had over 1000 members How did they do it We have only a bit over 500 members now The cost and finding the right printer was accomplished years ago when our budget was nothing near what we have at the moment. So lets all keep after the powers that be, and let them see this is something CAG needs for a "kick in the Butt" to get our members back on track that there still part of CAG especially those who haven't the time as they once did being involved and fishing yet remain loyal CAG members. A quarterly newsletter will keep all abreast of the great things CAG has to offer and the daily goings on.
  12. There is a lot of back and forth pertaining to getting back to a regular printed newsletter. My opinion is it should not go up for debate as to whom gets it and who does not Every member getting a news letter ensures that all our members see and read what's happening in CAG Many members although current don't go on the forum or don't fish as they once did But the newsletter just might get there interest again but would see they are not forgotten retaining there membership although there interest in CAG might have dwindled. It would be as I sent previously. Just a small newsletter for informative value. But lets have show of hands Who favors going back to a regular newsletter......................................
  13. Object of the newsletter is to be very simple and to the point Just a informative printed voice of CAGs daily on goings and references. With a little extra here and there.
  14. Name foe newsletter.. How about Carp Anglers group Were it all began and continues. The promoter of the worlds greatest sport fish in the U.S. Just a thought....
