The WDFW is taking public input in regards to a policy proposal to eliminate the prohibition of chumming and allow it statewide. They will be taking public comment until November 30th. As of now, only a handful of lakes in Washington allow chumming. This policy change would also clear up any grey areas in regards to the use of method leads, or PVA bags. If you fish for Carp in Washington State, I would highly suggest you provide some feedback for them. You can do so here: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations/rule_proposals/policy.php?id=10 -Sorter
Hi, I moved to Washington from Czech Republic i.e. carp central. As you probably know it is a tradition to cook carp on Christmas in Czech Rep. unfortunately this is not a tradition in the ol' US of A. There are no carp stalls on the city sidewalks prior to Christmas. My point is that I need a live Carp a couple days before Christmas. I would like to buy one from anybody who catches one. I live in Western Washington. I am totally serious! If you don't believe me just google Czechs and Christmas Carp. It is a 1000 year old tradition. Thanks! V.K.
