Thanks for the address Frank.

Now can someone tell me where to park and where in this location will we be fishing?

Dan--The google satellite photo is old and does not do justice to the venue. In fact, that L-shaped farm building is no longer there. I think they just left a small grain bin structure for effect. The Harley Museum and Milwaukee have developed the area so that it is much more park like. We fish from just beyond the east side of the bridge at the bottom of the photo (north bank) east to the bend where the river/canal begins to turn north. That area now contains parking and park-like landscaping within a few steps from the pegs. You can't sit in your car to wait for bites, but it's very easy to transport your gear to the pegs (20 yards or so). Hope this helps. Larry H. and I will pre-fish it tomorrow (Wednesday). Come on up if you can.--Frank

Thanks so much Frank! This is a great description of the location. :) Your input in this forum is indispensable.

If I can rearrange my schedule for tomorrow, I will meet you guys there.

Yes--Pics and stories are a great idea. Please feel free to also tell those of us in the late group what hookbait works best, what groundbait drew in the fish, and where the big ones live :).

A couple questions/comments:

1. Is the point distribution as follows now that we have five anglers in each group: 5-4-3-2-1?

2. It would really be helpful if someone posted a list of the agreed-upon peg draw times for Groups A through D. Or, tell us what time to be there for the first time and then we can discuss any possible changes in times for the peg draw.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing about the first session.--Frank

I hope to be too busy hauling to take pictures !! LOL On a more serious note, would there be any problems with helping each other net fish? The assumption being that help is requested.

Congrats, Andy. That's quite an accomplishment from tough peg #1. Congrats, Tracy, on the 18+. I do think that Larry H. caught a little bigger 18+ for the big fish lead. Congrats, Larry. Nice start to the league.

WOW...what a great day for fishing. Incredible weather to kick off the Winter League. Big Fish was quite a battle today. I had an early 16-8 that was looking real good until Tracy hauled in a larger 18-2. About 30 minutes from the end, a lady stopped to chat and asked how you could tell when a fish bit. I pointed to the pod to show her the alarms and had a run. It was a large fish that hook pulled half way to shore. I re-baited and threw back in the same spot. Ten minutes later I landed the 18-12 to take big fish. The carp gods were smiling on me today!

It was great to see some of the other contestants visiting us today. I know they have their fingers crossed for the same kind of weather, when their turn comes. Looks like Ernie will be doing more filming for the following groups. Be sure to smile for the camera. WCB products produced again today. I can't wait to fish the next round. This winter is going to be fun. I can't imagine storing all the gear and waiting for spring.
