I know there are a few new people who may not know any/many of the usual pegs for ATC but Im wondering what pegs the vets hope they get and which ones they hope they dont get...

For me, id have to say I hope we draw either the rocks or melrose. We have fished alot of the past used pegs and those are the two i am most comfortable at.

As for the ones I dont want, I really hope i dont draw red bud, i really just dont like that peg. I know this might go against everyone else, but i also hope we dont draw the gazeebo. Havent had crap for luck there.

Oh, and Scott, is there official peg list out yet?

there won't be an official list per say cuz it could change on a daily basis.

The Gazebo and Red Bud will def be pegged for sure. The Dam is out unless we get 20 teams. Some questions have come up about the WWD and WWD2 , those will be up in the air esp considering Mike getting a 35 there last week.

on the top of my list is "the rocks" I can cast that swim blinfolded. I have caught more fish there than any other swim. Next I would have to say is the 35 bridge swim not sure of the real name. That's where I fell in love with catching carp so its always one of my go to pegs..third on the list would be "voodoo" not sure if its going to make it as a peg but I really like it. If the fish ain't bitin u can always just sit back and watch the local wildlife.. aka college chicks...

Common PB 35# 9oz.
Grasser PB 48# 2oz.

Looks like 15 or 16 teams will fish! That increases everyone chances of geting a good peg! Once you go over that number some less productive pegs may join the list! Having said that, draw one of the big 4 pegs and you have a good shot at winning. Draw one of the big 4 pegs two days in a row and you better win ;)

Just spent a few hours looking around a few of the swims one of the 'newbies' hasn't fished - and ran across a couple of 'newbie teams' out looking for some holy grail before next weekend ;). They were both on the East side and -- no fish to report whilst we were there. Didn't go 'out west' - as, between South By SW, the boat races - and the Rodeo going on -- traffic is horrible :o Water temps are in the high 60's everywhere, and at one sheltered spot mid to high 70's. Here's the 7 day forecast - http://www.myfoxaust...ubindex/weather
Mid 80's daily, with overnight lows in the 60's -- as it has been for quite a while now.
As per ATXWheeler -- Any word on an official announcement on pegs? Only 6 days until the event :)
