bb,

W E L C O M E !! to the forum and group.

You will soon learn Phone. I fish and play on the internet for fun. Notice, fun is the "last word" in our four tennants at the top of the page.

You may be waiting a bit on an answer but you are in CARP COUNTRY for sure. One of our most prestigious events is this weekend at Baldwinsville NY. That would be about 100 miles from your new home as best I can figure. At Baldwinsville even the poor American style anglers can expect several hundred pounds and the BIG BOYS will expect four digit numbers. While they are in your area this tournament is not necessairly a specimen tournament. But the numbers of 15 - 20 lb carp will be astounding. NY, and your region has any number of wild 40's and a few 50's. 50 is about the outer limit for our wild carp. Give the guys a chance to gather themselves after the torunament. They'll contact you for sure.

Also, I detect a bit of a British understatement. "AVID" you say - - even our most middle tier non-tart unmatched gear Brits are passionately fanatical carp anglers. You sure you're just avid?

Phone

BTW You sure you know whar you'uns live. I could only find Glens Falls (with one "n") in NY on the google map.

carpah,

I wondered why no one else was here? I can't come back next weekend.

bb,

That may give you time to figure a way to join them. If you are near Albany, as I believe you are, it is just a skip and a jump by car. Not sure you've time to "enter" but you'ld have a great time meeting people. Maybe even fish "off venue" for a bit.

I think Mr Bulldog might get more responses if Willem could move this Topic to the NY section rather than it getting lost in the Big-4.. :)
