I'm looking for a chance at a 40lb carp. I was thinking the St. Lawrence would be best. My vacation is in sept and I don't know anything about this river or where to start. If you prefer pm me. Thanks

St Lawrence experience or Canadian carping holidays. Both below the iriquois damn on Both the us and Canadian sides of the river, otherwise you could spend years and never see one, the river is massive.

KeithMa. The world carp tournament is being held at the Larry in Sept so I agree with Erjot. Keep the tourney in mind when scheduling or else the trip can end up being a disaster.

The main river, near the Iroquios Dam, would be just fine and save you money. Both above and below this "dam" would work, and both sides offer depth and cruising fish. Beware of the tough river grass in most areas, both other than that, don't be intimidated if you'd prefer to go yourself.
Moth of the Oswegatchie in O=burg also offers ease of fishing and big fish.

dont worry if the st lawrence experience doesnt have openings there r plenty of other places and plenty of fishing to go around.i know a nice private hunting/fishing camp u can rent and id be happy to point u in the right direction for a big fish.iraquois dam is prob one of the better places but there r many to choose from if u have time to bait.feel free to contact me if u want.
