DEC will need to write up the law, so don't know when we can go out and buy more rods but the tackle shops will be happy.

Thanks you lake Ontario charter captains job well done.

I think the DEC has to do a formal amendment to the existing Reg's so until you see it in the REGS You can still get a ticket. JMHO. They may just make it a special reg for Lake Ontario, so keep your Eye on any reg changes when you get your new license.

Gotcha, thanks bill. Not so sure I'd use the third rod that much anyway, getting doubles when you're alone is tough enough haha, I can't imagine triplets.

Here's what the DEC officer told me. He knew nothing of the law, so he has to go by the existing REG book until he is told otherwise. B)

this has nothing to do with 3 rods but it seems as if many anglers are due a refund on licenses if you fish saltwater in addition to fresh

Catch a man a fish, and you can sell it to him. Teach a man to fish, and you ruin a wonderful business opportunity...

"BE AFRAID TO DIE ,UNTIL YOU HAVE WON SOME VICTORY FOR HUMANITY"

Fishing is the chance to wash one's soul with pure air.
It brings meekness and inspiration, reduces our egoism,
soothes our troubles and shames our wickedness.
It is discipline in the equality of men--for all men
are equal before fish.etcp reigns supreme

on second thought .....bad idea.

I think that must have been a salt water license. because they only have 23,000 refunds going out to fisherman and that wouldn't cover 2 weeks of the local October sales here in pulaski ny, But if they want to give me one I'll take it. :D

The refund is only for the saltwater license. However if you plane to fish saltwater you will still knead a license. The license is free for now (only saltwater)
