At the warm water discharge on Madison st and 97th, does anyone if there are carps around this area, right after the discharge? Any information will be appreciated.

I don't know about this particular one but in general any warm water discharges during the winter is a carp magnet. I would be shocked if this one was any different. Good luck to you in the winter.

tried the place, it sucked horribly the discharge isn't even warm enough to make anything warm. Anyone know of a better warm water discharge that I can try that's kind of near chicagoland. Thanks.

Go to try Chicago River, it never frozen on some part and keep good size carp all winter...

Why fish right by the discharge??? It holds lots of smaller carp. Did You fish other places on Chicago River besides discharge???

nope, any locations in mind. I fished by Ashland before haven't caught anything there. The biggest carp pulled out of there was 10 lbs at the discharge on Howard and McCormick.

Your lucky you didn't go to jail fishing the discharge in Skokie. I've offered multiple times to take you out but you always manage a way not to. So which is it? There are plenty of spots that offer fish to well over 20lbs. on the Chicago River ALL WINTER LONG. When you decide to ACTUALLY GO, let us know and we'll be more than happy to take you out. later

For the first time in about 6 weeks, I'm going to fish the Chicago River friday. Your more than welcome to a spot. Depending on whose available there should be a couple carpers. If not join me anyway. Let me know if you want and I'll let you know where. Have to ask where the action has been. Haven't been in town much the last month and a half or so. later

I go fishing every Tuesday, when weather permits. I am in Nursing school so that's the only day I save for myself. I have fished at the discharge for about 10+ times and no one has said anything to me, nor have I ever seen anyone.
