WI Carp Championships Website

Hi Folks,

Now that we are officially getting into the longer days and thoughts of Spring, here's the details on the 2012 WI Carp Championship!

Saturday 2nd of June and Sunday 3rd June, in Carptown (a.k.a. Two Rivers); the Spring Playground of thousands of Lake Michigan's finest Carp.

Entry Fee is $250, and a $50 check/money order and entry form (attached, with full rules) will secure your place at one of the most prestigious Carp Tournaments in the US. As in all previous years, we are confident that our very generous Sponsors will once again support the WI CC, and we are therefore aiming for a 100%+ payout of all entry fees (2010 & 2011 payouts were both in excess of 120% CASH, with thousands of dollars worth of trophies and other prizes).

This year promises to be VERY special indeed; we may be opening up a couple of new sections, and I'm also working on this event being a USF3-sanctioned Qualifier for the World Carp Fishing Championships; more details in the very near future!

You are welcome to attend Rick; just be careful to bring your "A" Game as some of these guys are getting rather good. However, as Steve mentioned, we had a couple of Hoosiers attend last year, and they came away with the Big Fish and 5th Place Awards, so there's definitely some Carping talent East of IL.

Good to see you back Marcin & Frank. And a Big Welcome to Darren, on your first WI Carp Championship! We are first and foremost all about having fun, although the competition is definitely worth winning, too! As I'm not allowed to fish, please feel free to check in with me on conditions and tactical options as we get nearer the event.

I'm also happy to take "WI CC Newbies" around the sections, and fish alongside any angler who asks (if my hectic calendar permits!), to give you a chance of checking out your rigs, bait and tactics in a semi-competitive situation. Attila took advantage of this last year, and I don't think my advice and what he learned put him and Tony off too much... they recorded second and fifth places.
