Even most non religious folks take Sunday off -- and that seems to be a far better choice of day -- if we are to get as many folks fishing as possible?

First, fishing all day on a Sunday then going back to work is rough.
Second, many of us are family men and use sunday for family actvities.

Steve - sorry you consider the aftermath of any Carping session "rough" -- as I'm usually glowing from just being out there chasing (catching) those biggies, and looking forward to the next session2 reasons Brid

I'm glad you put your family first, as you clearly wouldn't want to be doing anything that clashes with them.
Tight Lines,
Brid.
