Currently it is scheduled for Sunday August 12, 2012 with the same 6:00 start time. Along with Montgomery Fest

However !!!!!!

There is a chance it will be moved to Saturday to make it easier for the weight in......the other possibility is there may be an overnight or Pro-division event that would start on Saturday and the regular event would remain unchanged.......If there is enough interest. Unfortunately they pick the dates not me....and this may be an issue for those going to Indiana but I wanted to get the dates out there, Ill post on the calender when everything is finalized.

The results of the Boy Scout Troop #61 were not unecptected, but the re-appearance of a lot of past local winners as well as some of Jeremie Macemans family. It was a nice suprise that helped offset alot of missing regulars. Lionel Lane (CAG member) took top place with 10-3 as the big fish followed in second by John Chione with a 10-1. 3rd - fifth where caught by a local family (mother ,dad, daughter team) that have in recent years become very fond of catch and release carp angling. The largest fish turned in was a 16-15 buffalo....but did not coun't towards prizes. Fishing was slow, and the some 40 anglers worked pretty hard to get one fish with a rare two fish to a select few. Weather was perfect......

There will be format changes and a two tiered (amature/pro event) next year and the scouts have taken an interest in learning how to carp fish and want to work a program to establish carp fishing as part of the merit badge process, and want to have a troop vs troop event ....... Will be making announcements early October acter I meet with the city and the Scouts Administrators.
