Fished a local lake yesterday from 10 AM 'till 6 when some incomming thunder heads chased me out. Carp were active all over & some had their backs sticking out of the water very near the shore line. It only took about 20 minutes to get a run but after that the action was good. Don't know the total of the fish I banked but a lot of them were under 10 lbs. No real biggies but I had a lot of action & enjoyed the day. Some of the pics.

Very cool! It seems like the fish always bite well right before a storm comes through.

good jim! good pictures as usual. I go nuts when I see their backs out of the water. I think I like seeing the "mud clouds" better. When you think there's nothing out there and your getting no bites then you see all the clouds out in the distance..... I love it :swimminfish:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am a PAYING CAG member just like any other paying member in this club. Please don't pull that "BOD so you think this or that" on me.

I'm a CAG member FIRST (Webmaster 2nd and BOD member last) and that give me just as much right as YOU to speak my mind about ANYTHING club related.

So if you don't LIKE what I've got to say, don't use the age old lame "You think you can say what you want because you're on the BOD".

I say what I want because I'm "ME", I say what I want because it's my right as an AMERICAN CITIZEN to speak my mind FREELY.

If I don't agree with you, get over it and move on. My main function is to maintain everything CAG WEB Related, NOT to kiss your butt and agree with you, nor to say stuff just so I don't hurt your feelings.

So please keep in mind that if you choose to ask for an opinion or say something I don't agree with, I will speak my mind as a PAYING CAG MEMBER.

I found out about the carp in these lakes when I was checking out the biological reports for them. Just found out about another one that I have to check out.

What source do you use for the reports?

Go to your state fish commission site & click on the biologists reports & you should get a list of the lakes they do test netting & electro shocking & that will give you an idea of the species that are there. Even if the tests are from a few years ago & they have captured some good size carp you can bet there are a lot more there now. All my info comes from the Pa. Fish comm. site.
