Little over three weeks ago I have came back from my vacation to Poland. This was my first trip to my homeland after 8 years. I was so excited about this great adventure with few reasons: I could see my whole family, my friends, my fantastic town, places from my youngest years...

But main reason I went there was my church wedding and wedding reception.

Also I had a hope that I will find a time for a little bit of carp fishing.
I took my reels, alarms, my solar pod and some major tackles with me from here. I have a set of rods, landing net, bivvy and unhooking mat in Belgium so my mom brought them to Poland. So I was all set but first and the most important thing was our wedding.
Day which is one of the most important day in our life went fantastic. Preparations, church, our "Yes" and wedding reception till 7 am were the most unforget moments in my life so far...

Wedding reception was a great party. No limitation of vodka, food and dancing :)

The only one bad thing about our wedding reception ... too short but anyway till 7am :)

After two days I called to one of the private pond located close to my town and I booked spot on the lake for overnight fishing.
I could not wait till moment I wet my lines and start to hunt for big residents of this pond. The biggest carp caught there was over 50 lbs. I hoped to catch just one, no matter what size great looking european mirror carp.
We arrived early morning to the spot. Last few days were very hot and water in the pond also was warm.

Only 5 feet deep pond, plus those very hot last few days were not too good combination.
"It does not look good" I thought.

Despite the adverse weather conditions and informations that from two weeks no one caught the carp I started to set up my equipment and think about technique of prebaiting my swim. I have seen many signs carp showing on surface almost all over the lake. I checked depth and marked the deepest point of the pond. Then I started to prebait. I spombed mix of sweet corn, crushed boilies and pellet. Not too much because I knew that carp here have plenty of food provided by other carp angler. One rod I rigged with snowman combination: bloodworm flavor bottom boilie with sweet pineapple yellow pop-up on top of it. Second rod I rigged with two piece of Enterprise plastic corn from K-1 Baits in pineapple flavor. On both rigs I hooked PVA meshes with crushed boilies and pellet inside of them. Simple safety clips set ups and two lines went to the water. During checking the bottom in the pond I figured out there is a layer of mud, so my choice were pop-ups baits on two of my rods. Learning from experience of last year when I was fishing in a fishery in Belgium, I was using oats pack bait and the only fish I caught were bream. So this time I decided to not using any pack baits or groundbaits for baiting up my swim.

So i was waiting for first scream of my delkims....

Still feeling tired after the wedding I fell asleep, then the desired alarm woke me up rapidly.
Yes I got run and fish on !!!
I had a hope to catch something but not after only two hours of fishing...
"I can't believe it" I said to myself...

Almost unbelievable became true...I was so proud and excited that I caught this fish.

Later in this day my friend with the youngest years Radek arrived and after a while of fishing he caught this fantastic carp.

Also his carp was caught on two pieces of Enterprise Plastic corn from K-1 Baits in pineapple flavor what I gave him.

After his fish we did not have a single run till after midnight then I caught another great looking mirror carp at little over 20 lbs.
