I landed this beautiful 28 lb. common on June 16. While I have landed bigger ones in my home state of RI waters, this is a PB Common for me in MA waters. It was landed on a combo bait of 2 kernels of maize and a kernel of white, ESP, artificial corn. Quite a strong fish as I had a memorable battle on my hands landing it.

My new personal best caught using a pencil float and corn. 18lbs 13ozs. I landed this on June 14th at about 8:30 in the morning at a small lake about 10 minutes from my home.

My personal best mirror, 23lbs. Caught on a combination of a 20mm garlic boilie and a 16mm strawberry ice cream boilie from k-1. The location was the Fox river in Wisconsin.

So a little background. Bought a fixer upper cabin on a lake. A lake with Carp in it. The shore front also needs work as a giant tree has fallen into the water out front.

Upon our first cast we hooked a good fish. My future son in law had the rod. Unused to carp the fish got into the tree. Robert having boots and jeans on was unable to enter the water to do battle I in my shorts and sandals however was.

Thank goodness for braid! I scrambled down the bank and hauled the fish out of the tree and we had a 16 lb prize in our first carping session.
