Here is a sinificant fish for me. It is my 500th carp for 2015.

Besides that, it is one of the most beautiful carp I have landed this summer. I love the three large scales on the body, the many small scales around its head and tail and the smooth skin in other places. Very unique and unusual. What this one is lacking in size, it makes up for it in good looks!

You've seen Beauty in the previous post and now you'll see the Beast.

This is the biggest carp I have ever landed in the month of August here in RI. The big common went 30 lbs., 4 oz. It was landed in a driving rainstorm that we had two days ago on August 11. There were some rainspots on the lens which you can see in the photo, but I think it adds to the photo and the mood of the day. The rainstorm lit up the fishing here in RI and I landed several more good fish on this stormy day but this was the biggest.

After 6 blanks in a row during August a cold front moves in and I have a 9 fish day. This is my new PB. A 33lb Wisconsin Common Carp.

This picture is of my new PB Common weighing in at 24.12lb. Caught her around 3am last Friday night on the Merrimack river. A rain storm had just passed though which gave way to a extremely humid night at 100% humidity. Extremely happy I stuck it out a couple hours longer because she gave one hell of a fight! Ok, for the sake of participating... Here is an immaculate 33lb I caught somewhere in Canada a week ago. Probably my first 30+ in August. It was quite the fighter (check the tail! this explains!), it went in a snag, I got it out, and was very happy when I finally landed it.

Seeing as though I ran this contest for 2 years I was never eligible to enter. However, I passed it onto Brian and I am no longer on the voting committee so I'll put a few entries in and share some of my catches.

Here's a 30lb+ common caught along with 40 others on a 36 hours session.

Maybe you do have to be a facebook member. I just assumed any public page anyone can view. The link should have taken you directly to the BCT facebook page.
