What Temperature for Fall Carpin'

Recommended Posts

Around what temperature does the water have to be for the carp to start their fall feeding spell?

What temps are you at? It should just keep getting better as they drop below 70F all the way down to 45-50F

Right now I'm at 72 F and the carp don't seem to be feeding at all.

I too am having success mostly late afternoon/early evening, ~3-6 fish per session and starting to fish into late evening, creeks when they're not flooded/full of leaves and lakes when they are-always pre-bait-lakes for 3-4 days but creeks 1-2 hours prior to fishing-the scent brings them up the creek much faster.....if its slow enough, fish move downstream frequently......................but I'm concerned that the creeks will fill with leaves making it much harder to fish........oh well.....still fun!!
