Here are some of the rules, I might forget something but they are pretty much the same in all carp events.

Peg draw 6am SHARP!!!!  If you are late you will be able to fish but will be placed in the highest numbered pegs. Southern pegs

Fishing from 7am thru 4pm

Lunch around noon. we will be fishing through lunch

$50 entry, optional  $10 big fish pot

2 rods, if fishing is slow, 3 rods will be allowed after 12pm, organizer will decide at noon.

No treble hooks, one hook per line BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Any bait and method allowed. Please chum responsibly . (dont use a 5 gallon bucket full)

Hook must be in the mouth or a minimum of 2" of mouth for fish to count for your total

Only your biggest 5 fish will count for your overall total

You and you only must strike and fight your fish, anyone can net it.

You must be present @ 4pm for all prizes and payouts

You must have ALL your fish weighed and witnessed  by another angler and they must sign your score card, no exceptions!!!!

Don't turn your score card in if ALL fish aren't signed off on.

All fish must be alive when released.

All rules are subject to change to benefit the organizers total weight, LOL. Just kidding.

Please Pre -figure your totals before handing in score card, it just makes everything go faster after the event.

If you would like to fish next to someone, let me know before peg draw

Lets not make this a rule filled complaint filled event, lets just fish and relax.

If you have any other questions please ask now.

Looks like a washer for indexing a rod pod or something similar.  Loosen a nut or wing nut, pivot the part the where the teeth match and tighten.  I have something similar to that with my arrow fletching jig except the jig index has U-shaped notches.

Well Gentlemen 3 days to go and we lost 2 anglers for this event, but we gained one. So we are at 18 anglers for the 19th.  Drive safe, you snooze you loose, 6am peg draw!

Larry--I hope Andy B. is on your participant list, because he just called me asking about time of peg draw and other questions.  Best of luck to all! --Frank

Fyi, I stopped in to Fish Tech in Morton Grove to pick up a few things and met with their carp Guru Joesf Settele. He was on the reserve list but will be unable to attend. He was kind enough to donate a gently used plastic Wacker box to house your hooks, swivels, and assorted goodies to the prize list. Josef's box will go to whomever catches the smallest carp. See you Saturday!

Just so everyone knows Tracy Jourdan pre paid for this event because he will be an hour or so late. So we will draw peg for him.
