Well, I was back to our favorite winter swim today, and this time with Vinny.

I proceeded to play around with my video gear (that will be the topic of another thread!) and Vinny started to fish.

Well, it didn't take him long to start catching... Sure, there are plenty of fish out there, but he was hammering there one after the other...

Here are a couple of nice fish. He even caught a crappie by its dorsal fin!

We spent the afternoon out there, and Vinny found a way to land 19 (yes, nineteen!) fish... The 20th just didn't want to come, and we had to go home.

We stopped fishing for ourselves for a few minutes, just taking the time to hook a bass angler to carp fishing... The guy (Steve) was VERY impressed! I have a feeling we'll hear again about Steve... <_< cool.gif

But the highlight of the day was this wonderful fully-scaled mirror.

Not only this is an absolutely beautiful fish, but this is Vinny's 10th mirror this year... thewave.gif

Vinny is the mirror-masta. No doubt about it.

Hey, leave some carp in the river for ME to catch at the FFF!

Well done. Now we know for sure there is no reason to fear the 50 degree mark and there is no excuse to hang the rods up in the fall.

What the bait of the day?
