Fished with Job B, and tried early in the morning. Little did I know by getting to the "Old Folks" swim at 12:30, we were already behind the times..
Off to the big water at 6:30, arriving at 7. By 7:30, I had double header, a 17 3/4lber, and a 25 1/4lber. Leter hit another big fish, 29 1/2lbs!!! PROBLEM was, it was hooked in the gill area....damn. No count. Late in the morning, managed a 17lb even common. Not too bad, considering the surface temps was 34+F!! Big fish here 25-4. Anything else bigger anywhere? Oh, yeah, had to leave when my witness did about noon, headed over to the zoo-at-homeless and hung with the fellas. Managed a 6lber too, 4 fish 66lbs. Nowhere near what Domm & Vinny hauled. AND, a huge thanks to Jerome & Edith for once again embracing the event with all the hospitality of the FFF before! You guys !! |

I have to second that! The hospitality and food was second to none. It was also great to hear the story of Bob driving down the road with the furniture in the back of the vehicle on fire. Priceless.

it was crazy watching scott catch those fish in the cold temps. (i guess i shouldnt have let him pick where to put his 2 rods) it was fun though. i caught one small carp about 10.5lbs we didnt weigh it bc it was kinda pointless(after the hall of fame time and a small fish to boot). watching scott and helping to land the fish was fun in itself. i wish i didnt have to leave so we could have stayed but i had previous plans to salmon fish down the cape. i have to give it to scott to be honest about the way he hooked that monster and not counting it was great sportmanship i didnt even notice it was hooked underneath, he actually said look at this. i guess we know where to fish next year. congrats to all who did well
