Pics from our foolish night were already posted (at 4AM!) in this post, but here are a few ones that Corey and myself took during the day.
Starting by the MA cheerleader, Sarah herself who drove all the way to Vermont, started to fish around 6AM, and was kind enough to delay the capture of her big fish of the day until I arrived... All 15 pounds of it. 2nd biggest fish of the day at this spot. ![]() Corey made a spirited attempt at fishing another spot but this didn't work. Congrats for having tried though. So he joined us later in the day, and got a ball catching, ans most importantly making his cousin Mike catch as well. Mike, getting started on carp fishing on Jan 1st, that is quite unusual... ![]()

Vinny actually caught the smallest fish of the day (3lb), the biggest of the day (15-8), and an absolutely stunning discolored one. And a total of >100lb of fish. Whoah!
![]() ![]() After our adventures during the night, Bob was struggling a bit, but did find the energy & generosity to go get warm pizzas for everybody. Very much appreciated sir.

Chris had recovered from the night where he almost died (a car was ssssooo close to hit him when he crossed Storrow Drive at 3AM... He gave me such a heart attack...
![]() We were also joined by a CAG member we didn't see for almost two years, Tom Baird. Who was fascinated by the Aquavu display! He didn't bring his rods, so I tried to make him catch a fish with mine, but heck, those darn fish were not intent on making my life easy, and Tom had to leave early. Of course, I got a run ten minutes later... Hmpf. We had quite a few rods out as you can see... ![]() But the man of the day was undoubtedly Domm. He started at 6AM until 5PM and landed 23 fish for a grand total of 179 pounds... He has a very good shot at the emperor's award... Oh, by the way, he hammered them on Egg & Milk boilies... Bill, you there? <_< Sadly, neither Corey nor myself seem to have found a way to take good pics of Dom. He was always on the move catching one fish or another, I guess... Here is the only one I have.

So after a grand total of 60 fish being caught (!!!!) in the snow, a hot dinner was in order. Super Edith (my wife) not only delivered, but outdid herself.
This pic only displays the entrees... We were so hungry that we forgot to take pics of the main courses (lobsters, giant prawns, etc; then wellington beef) and last but not least the desserts... ![]() Here are some of the hosts, Kerry, Claudia, Beth, Marius, Bob, Chris, Scott... ![]() ![]()

My son Felix wanted to add something... Here is his message (well, almost!):

Most of my chunkers were caught in the AM, my average was at 11lbs for the first 2 hours. After that I was netting people fish and nothing I caught was too photo worthy. i think I netted atleast 30 fish yesterday!!

Yeah Dom...wow...you were seriously hauling. They LOVED your method. Great job! Too bad you couldn't come to the "post-game" festivities at the Moisands.
It was a very fun day. I'm glad I caught a couple beauties (none under 10 lbs). |

Sarah, it was a team effort. Vinny you and I got there early and that paid off!
That method/pack I was using is by far my most successful bait this winter. i have tried others but the SPS pack with just a few additives has shown me the most love. -------------------- PB common 33lbs 10oz

Are you sore? I still can't feel my big toes, and Vinny was feeling pretty congested with a sore back. Being outside 10+ hours takes a toll on the body

Great photos and efforts on the event!! So some other are sore I read here.. I'm not the only one then. I did the slip on the rock butt drop landing a fish. The one during the day that must have impressed the on lookers...so that area is still sore also
