Rob, while he was working and supporting bums like me, I was educating myself on big words, like curmudgeon...fun word to say.

Great CAGI!! I just wanted to say a big thanks to Mike D and Jerome. You guys set up a great fish-in. I also wanted to thank Mike D and all the CT guys for sharring that awesome spot with their fellow CAG members from MA, VT, NY and CT. This is a very scenic water with hugh fish. It would have never been found but your generosity allowed our members and their guest the chance to fish in trophy waters.
Good On You

Finally came back from the (flooded) Himalayas. Yup, the Himalayas are now officially located in CT, I've been there... rolleyes.gif

Going up once and down is fine. Four times is... interesting. And when it rains heavily, this is... straining to say the least! titanic.gif

But it was definitely worth it! Many thanks to Mike and his helpers who dragged many pounds of bait up there to prebait.

Anyway, I'll be back online later tonight, but here are the three CAGI CT winners. I'll let you guys speculate on who won the total weight, top-4, and big fish! cool.gif And how big was the big fish... And who caught a fully scaled... cool.gif

*Note: my photo server is free, and slower than a slow thing that is feeling lethargic.*

OK, here's a clue:

Guess the weight? OK, here's the other side.

That help?

There are also subtle indications as to who got the FS mirror...

Amen to that Eric, saw a couple but didnt get any on me and Felisha didnt either. Mostly mosquitos and they werent too bad.

To all it was a beautifull venue, thx to Mike for a great preperation and a great outing. Would love to go back again in the future. It was also nice to meet a few more CT guys. Congrats to Eric, Domm, and Jerome for their accomplishments in catching nice and BIG carp.

Sorry to hear about the rain, it wasnt too bad in CT, just a couple on/off stuff but nothing to keep us from leaving. The walk alone with my gear back and forth to this swim put my back into some nice knots. Well worth it!

Actually, the rain wasn't too bad. We had some downpours, but all in all, a much better day than the scorching sun from last year, and this was my main fear for this year. But no, Mike planned it real well! Luckily for the few of us who stayed at night, no rain either. And we heard LOUD splashes during the night, there are major biggies out there.

I did get severely soaked by playing a powerful upper teen the day after, the fish just didn't want to relent while the rain was pouring harder and harder. But all in all, this will make for a pleasant memory. cool.gif

Ok, back to the CAGI itself, let me spill the beans here. The regional winners for this year in CT were...

1. Domm for the big fish (come on, guess the weight!)

2. Yourself truly for the total-weight (luck of the draw, peg#1!)

3. Eric for the top-4 (very nice last ditch effort in the late afternoon)

I don't have the paperwork with me, but if I am not mistaken, Eric and myself took the 2nd spots, and Vinny took all 3rd place spots! The CT anglers were way too polite with MA anglers... tongue.gif

Once again, many thanks to MikeD for all the work work making this event a success.
