SURGEON GENERAL WARNING

Opening this thread and salivating on the pics is NOT advised to anybody suffering from Neilsternilitis (commonly known as "Mirrorless Syndrom"). Side-effects might range from minor headaches to heart attacks and sometimes irrepressible surges of aggressivity...

Yes, you guessed it, I caught a nice mirror... rolleyes.gif

Actually my second biggest mirror, and by far the biggest in my home state (MA). 20 pounds even (I checked the scale several times!).

Isn't that a beauty? Very few scales overall. Both sides were roughly identical.

I didn't catch that many truly memorable fish in 2006, but this one really made my day...

Attached Image

Plus it stayed put for a while in the water, allowing me to take a few more nice shots!

And it was followed by 4 other fish, all in the 20 pounds vicinity, all in a few hours... Very cool session! One of the best of the year, actually. Isn't fishing great when it works? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Izaak Walton - Author of "The Complete Angler" in 1653 writes: "The carp is the Queen of Rivers: a stately, a good and a very subtle fish that was not first bred, nor hath been long in England."
Izaak also called the carp the river fox - because "is it a very subtle fish and hard to be caught."

We have waters with 100% mirrors, Neil. And a nice airport. Ask Andrew Deeley, he's flying in today!
