Ok fellow dc md va folks the new year is approaching rapidly and the time for the FFF is also approaching rapidly. I am planning on trying my luck again this year at the power plant swim. I welcome all to come out and join me . Im looking at overnighting (assuming its going to be as mild as it was the past few years)

Well, my stepson and I fished from midnight until 6 AM. He caught the first one between us at exactly 11 minutes after midnight. It was a mirror of 4 pounds 2 ounces. I finally got on the board at 1:08 with a mirror of 4 pounds 7 ounces. At 2:30 AM we switched ponds to try for the baby phone award. At 2:40 he caught one weighing 15 ounces. At 2:50 I caught one weighing 14 ounces. Between 3 and 4 I caught 2 more in the 1 pound 2 ounce range. At 4:10 we made our rondevous with Lowell King. Jed (my stepson) then caught an 8 ounce mirror carp at 4:50 AM. The best I could do was a 12 ounce mirror at 4:40 AM. Lowell caught two fish before 6 Am. Both were right around the 1 pound 2 ounce range too. We definitely got soaked, but had an enjoyable time. Will post pictures later today. Good luck everyone!

Axel...... posting on the computer at 3:08 ya should still be out there. Now I know you are not going to tell me that a little rain ran ya away I was laying in my nice dry bed listening to it hit the roof and thinking about all guys I'll wager I caught more fish than you did then... It was like standing in the shower with just the cold tap working... It's going to take a few days to dry out.. I left Mark and Sean down there hoping for a mid day feeding frenzy .. Oh and yes it's still raining... -------------------- Phil Saunders ... VA Chairman 2000 - 09..
