Surely Mark you have better things to do on New Years' Eve than go fishing.... ohmy.gif if you're married it's family time, if you're old then you get the buzz of drinking sherry and staying up way past your usual bedtime and if you're still a whipper snapper then you should be out chasing young vulnerable ladies rolleyes.gif surely you're not fishing New Years' Eve?

im just an old married guy who thinks that NYE is amateurs night smile.gif i dont drink so there goes the sherry idea as far as chasing the ladies well im always game for that but alas as an old married guy 99.9% of the time its just a matter of reading the menu and going away hungry smile.gif I ll let you young "whipper snappers" do the chasing , you can file a report on the morning of the second smile.gif

Well, my stepson and I fished from midnight until 6 AM. He caught the first one between us at exactly 11 minutes after midnight. It was a mirror of 4 pounds 2 ounces. I finally got on the board at 1:08 with a mirror of 4 pounds 7 ounces. At 2:30 AM we switched ponds to try for the baby phone award. At 2:40 he caught one weighing 15 ounces. At 2:50 I caught one weighing 14 ounces. Between 3 and 4 I caught 2 more in the 1 pound 2 ounce range. At 4:10 we made our rondevous with Lowell King. Jed (my stepson) then caught an 8 ounce mirror carp at 4:50 AM. The best I could do was a 12 ounce mirror at 4:40 AM. Lowell caught two fish before 6 Am. Both were right around the 1 pound 2 ounce range too. We definitely got soaked, but had an enjoyable time. Will post pictures later today. Good luck everyone!

Ray
