The whole purpose of the FFF is to prove to one of our most beloved members ( PHONE) that he indeed has a bad connection, when it comes to the feeding habits of CARP, and that they do indeed feed in waters below 50 degrees............

Well, this year, what we're going to do is PHONE THE PHONE...day or night and record our catches with him..last year if we had done this, he would have gotten well over 200 calls ! laugh.gif ( what a way to celebrate NEW YEARS ! laugh.gif laugh.gif

This of course does NOT mean that he is the official repositorory of catches, as you still have to send them to JEROME, at the close of the event.....but it sure as heck adds a nice little touch to aggravating PHONE, ph34r.gif and perhaps after this event, he can revise his thoughts, wink.gif

If you are an event Organizer, please contact either Jerome or myself for PHONES' , phone number ! wink.gif rolleyes.gif

If Phone is cool with the idea and does not fear the outcome (He has to! Otherwise, he loses all credibility in making his claim! tongue.gif), then I'll give Phone's phone number to everybody who registers to the event, via an e-mail sent to all participants a few days before Jan 1st...

Which is yet another reason for which you really need to register ahead of time! rolleyes.gif

As a side note, let me remind people that we have a special challenge of catching carp before 6AM (to enter the FFF Hall of Fame)... And yes, this counts whether you are in a cold state or a warm state... Starting from midnight, Phone's phone may very well start ringing... laugh.gif biggrin.gif tongue.gif

PS. oh, and Phone will be anxious to know the water temp when you call him... So make sure to bring your thermometer and make sure he gets all the details... cool.gif

Been thinking while driving home... We have a new award, the scubadoc award... For any mirror being caught during the FFF... Hmmm... Maybe we should also distribute Neil's phone number... laugh.gif tongue.gif

Jerome

Do you mean we have to register now before challenging Bill? I don't recall that being part of the original concept. ohmy.gif

I know... That's exactly why I've been thinking that I should really use an improved avatar (courtesy of Scott), better showing what a koi is, because some people are not only mirror-less but also koi-less...

Ok, so thanks for your enthusiastic approval, and whoever catches a mirror or a koi will definitely be encouraged to call Neil this year, and be eligible for the scubadoc award! Deal!

If you want to get Phone's (who is Bill? I don't know any Bill! Nor any Warder!) phone number, yes, you need to register... Every small pleasure has a price... And no, I am not immune to blackmail... I have kids, I know how to proceed with carrots and sticks... happy.gif
