My own report starts off at 12:01 when I hooked and lost a small fish. Got the line back in, and landed another in quick succession. 6 1/2lb. Vinny verified the time after the land at 12:04am.
Had 3 more in the next hour +, a 3 3/4, 7, and a 9+.
Slept til 7, when Vinny and I found one of my "money" spots had the access shut off!
Elsewhere, I fished and Vinny hung out. That is, until I realised I had a 3rd rod in the car!
Vinny landed the first fish in the morning spot, a beautiful 16 3/4lb mirror! His first '07 carp! Next run on my rod also resulted in a mirror, a 10+lber!
Fished hard in the wet, cold weather. Managed a tad under 200lbs total. Smallest, a teenie 14ozer. Largest, a 19lb common, with quite a few in the 10-18lb range besides. No big fish, as we were kinda "stuck" of sorts in swim selection.
I have to thank Vinny, who decided to accompany me when I needed company. Through the horrific weather. I sincerely hope the mirror was worth it!! Thanks dude!
Some pics tomorrow.

And knowing that we had a really freezing rain for most of the day... That's quite an achievement for Scott & Vinny here. Would LOVE to see the cracking mirror!

Oh, and there is a typo. I'm sure Scott caught his first carp at 12:14. It has to be. I'm sure. rolleyes.gif Darn, maybe not.

Matt,
The gate was closed near where I parked, so we couldn't get in there mad.gif ! So, we fished the other side, and it was much slower. We fished a different locale for midnight, and most of it was covered in 1" thick ice mad.gif mad.gif ! So things didn't go as planned, but we made the best of it.
Developing pics this week.

Scott,
I never in a million years thought that you would be in the running for the "Baby Phone" award. The weather here in Pennsylvania stunk real bad too. Hard rains between 11:30 PM (New Years Eve) and 6 AM New Years Day. I think the real winner of the FFF was the weather. Good catch there Scott. Almost 200 pounds under those conditions is impressive indeed. wink.gif
