Was a nice meeting at about 8:30. Peg draw, we're all off, up the hill. 11am start. I hooked up about 12 to a big fish, only to have a hook pull. 12:15 hook another, this turns out to be a gorgeous, but empty 24lb mirror (new CT CAG Record!)!
Eric Muse, next peg from me lands a 14-10 common. I land another 14, then Domm lands a lower teen also.
BUT, about 3pm, I notice that, for the last 4 hours, I was trapezing through poison IVY! Oh, not good!
I decide to hoof it out of there before I become a raspberry, get some Tecnu, and hope for the best after a nice shower at home.
I guess another small fish was taken on the other side. So, when I left (3:30pm), 16 anglers, 5 fish.....
Stay tuned....
My 2 fish, 24lb mirror, and 14lb common. Gorgeous fish up here!

More news, Eric muse is the man! He has landed 4 fish, the affore mentioned 14+, a 17+, 19, and a nice 26lb 4ozer (which is all but a forgone conclusion for the big fish here!)! Fishing was slow elsehwere!
I was fishing next to Eric, and saw the effort he put in. Well done, and, though 10 minutes to go, congrats!
BTW, I wish I had been able to stay. Check out the first 2 CAGI's (the only ones I've fished before the .4 I did today), and see the battles Eric and I had. I would love to have done so again!

And last time I checked with Len Perdic, a 26 pounder was in the lead for the Ontario big fish award! Funny. biggrin.gif

So here is the exact tally for our champion (Eric): 14-10, 20-0, 17-8, 26-4, a total weight of 78-6 pounds, and an amazing average of 19 pounds and 10 ounces!

So Eric won the total-weight, top-4 and biggest fish... And the most fish while he was at it.

And Scott won side prizes for the first fish of the day, and the biggest mirror (which was a real beauty!). Oh, and the most sensitive skin to poison ivy! blink.gif

Right foot is a bit bumpy, as is the left foot. But, as much as I'd have loved to fish the last 6 hours of it, I think I made the right choice!
Well done Eric, and thanks to Jerome and Mike!

Keith, that could be. I've seen these guys fish enough to warrant it. But, still would have loved to have stayed long enough for free pizza!
Thanks.

I just entered the results, a grand total of 9 fish.. rolleyes.gif

Well, it's easy...

Eric: 1st place total-weight, top-4, big fish
Scott: 2nd place total-weight, top-4, big fish
Dave (Doobs): 3rd place for eveything, thanks to his 17-10lb catch.
