First of all, I would like to thank all the sponsors (Shimano Canada, Concept-For-You, Fishing World, Bill's Bait & Tackle, Burlington Auto Park, Horizon Utilities, Hamilton Waterworks Park & Rec., Ontario Carp Crew) for this event, all the participants and co-chairs, without all of you we would not be able to have such a successful and fun event.

There was 40 anglers - 19 members, 18 adult guests and 3 junior guests.
27 anglers caught carp out of 40 anglers
There was 84 carp caught for a total of 821 lbs (approx.) (average weight was 9.77lbs per fish)

Total weight winner - 10 fish - 84lbs 4oz - Len Perdic
Top 4 - 52lbs 12oz - Steve Westbury
Big Fish - 26lbs - Bryn Thomas

Total weight winner for a guest - 5 fish - 49lbs 11oz - Russ Fisher
Junior top weight - 5 fish - 37lbs 8oz - Maranda Brooks

Will have final details and pictures soon of all prize winners and a small write up...

Len

And all those catches with a single rod per angler... 27 anglers caught out of 40, that's pretty remarkable by any standard.

With just a little more of global warming, I think we should all move to Canada! rolleyes.gif

Hi Len,

Too bad I could not make it down. sad.gif For sure want to down and fish with you guy's sometime this summer.

I picked up a copy of Big Jim's Just fishing Mag. I was glad to see such a large article on Carp fishing. Some very good points in it. I realy thought it would be mostly on Bass. But that's great!!!

Good going guy's.

Not sure if any of you are coming down for Jeff's derby at the end of July. I hope some of you do.

Tight lines, wink.gif
