A tough night for all! Bitter cold and then it warmed up by at least ten degrees and started to rain..when that stopped the wind started to howl!! Fishing was as tough as you'd expect in the circumstances. Only eight fish up on the board all night....shared by five anglers, all of whom qualify for the SP World Championship event ( I think)...
Big fish winner and Qualifiers: Bill B 19lb 12oz Mark Reece (Scorpion Tackle) 17lb 12oz, 7lb 8oz, 5lb 4oz Jay 16lb 4oz, 9lb 12oz Tilt 10lb Mutt 3lb 12oz Some of you might be interested to know that my three fish all came to European match fishing rigs, bait and tackle.... Big thanks to Herk and all the guys who contributed and attended this event...Mark.M, sorry I didn't get to taste the 'tater salad...I was too cold...Sam said it tasted really delicious..and European... Paylakers be on notice. ....Having qualified there is now the actual possibility of me being Paylake World Champion later this year....Imagine! Happy new year to all! Congrats guys! I can only imagine how cold it got. We had real heavy winds here that pierced right through your clothes. Did anyone get any pics at all?

Thanks Herk for putting on a great show. the night was nasty and when the wind came made it worse. all the fish came from the shallow end of the lake. not like last year. I had some bites but nothing on the hook. Jake missed 2 fish when I went to get sme shut eye. as it started to come to the end of the event are lines started to get hits, but it was all over. it was a long night for all. Mark R congrats and Mark M glad that you made the trip but sorry that you blanked like me, all in all it was a good night of fishing for most.
