Well, since nothing was happening in this respect, after swapping a few e-mails (including with Louis), I ended up striking an agreement with Ed Sheffield (always the nice guy), so that we do have 2008 entrants to this historical Hall of Fame.

So, out of practicalities, the 2008 list will be made of the first 10 anglers having caught a carp on Jan 1st, 2008. Meaning:
  • Wayne Trapp
  • Cory Bohmann
  • Sam Snow
  • Frank Rink
  • Ray Eichelberger
  • Mick Clarke
  • Jedidiah Fickes
  • Mark Reece
  • James Koch
  • Paul Wells

With a special mention to Ray and Jedidiah who both entered the Hall of Fame for the third year in a row! What a winning streak!

Sarah was kind enough to design new artwork in a matter of hours, I personalized & printed certificates in a frameable format, Ed tracked down names & postal addresses, and will mail within a few days Hall of Fame certificates as well as his donations (t-shirt & bait, I believe) to all of those deserving 10 brave anglers.

Here is the artwork in reasonably high-def (click on it to see it clearly; it actually prints much better than it shows on the screen!), and well, who else than Ray could better illustrate it?

As a reminder, the very cool drawings of the winter carp and of Phone have to credited to Monty Mittleman's amazing artistry.
