Let's see just where to begin. well first thing off the bat the number of attendee's that failed to show was truly uplifting and inspirational (heavy sarcasim there) but the few that did show had a great time even though the fish failed to attend the BS'ing that was present made it all worth while.
an event took place that was truly heart felt was when bigbird sacrificied himself against the cold to catch a fish, the first fish caught on my new rod and reel i'll have you to know, so that I would not have to leave the comfort of Ethan's new bivvie and the comfort of the heater. such and act is not seen everyday and is a true testament of the bonds of brotherhood among carp fishermen. anyway even with the lack of fish in attendance and fisherman those few brave souls who fought the cold night air had a great time.
by the way maybe the next fishin if you let us know Bigbird or myself will call your wives and ask permission for you to come if anyone needs us to. until then keep your lines from dry rotting and your hooks from rusting.

for the record we did catch 3 carp on the 31st. 5 to 8 pounds and about 6 good eatting size cats. not a total wash. 23 deg. and the wind was whooping. what did we expect.

Well the fishing seemed to have been a tad challenging, but the write-up certainly made it worth it! You guys are funny! laugh.gif

Yeah, I know a few fellows with rotten lines and rusty hooks too... Speaking about fishing ain't fishing! wink.gif

Yeah, guilty as charged! Between work, the holidays, and family stuff, I haven't been out to wet a hook since Lurch and I got blanked at Commerce the day after Thanksgiving.

But at least the weather was good, the conversation better, and neither of had to fight the crowds at the malls! tongue.gif
