I was teasing a bit FisherMom (can't get her to participate as she's held hostage by her family on Jan 1st - price to pay when you're a great cook!), and followed some links and swapped some e-mails, and one thing leading to another... We have two surprise sponsors for the FFF from Arkansas.

First off, WomenAnglers.us is a Web site dedicated to... you guessed, women anglers (and hunters too). The editor, Wanda Garner, took my challenge and will probably participate on Jan 1st as well as challenge her staff of writers (which includes FisherMom) to participate too, although it's a bit of a late notice. Wanda should write a story, and we'll also make sure that any FFF female participant who has the writing vibe will see her FFF story published on WomenAnglers.us. I also reshuffled a bit the awards & prizes to make room for a "total weight" prize for women.

Next, Wanda's husband (Tommy) is an active participant to a country radio station K Kountry 95, and the FFF Emperor award winner will be invited to a live interview (by phone, no cost) on the corresponding radio show. What's neat is that the radio station streams on the Internet, so we can all listen to it! Just go to their Web site and click the "Listen Now" button (on the left side of the display), works perfect.

Check out this nice write-up Wanda posted on WomenAnglers.us. She just told me she might give it a try today after all.

Jerome

You sure are making the FFF Famous. Maybe next year I will get to participate.

See what you started everyone wants to freeze just to prove you right that carp can be caught in freezing temps. LOL

Hope all that participated was successful in the FFF

A quick update on that.

1. Rachel (chakram) was kind enough to write a short article for WomenAnglers.us, we're still trying to sync up with Wanda for actual publication, but this will happen. Thanks, Rachel!

2. Wanda and Tommy did confirm their willingness to interview "live" our Emperor winner (namely John Sabol aka Zoomie), and John readily agreed. They are still working on the exact logistics, but this should be Monday Jan 18th (the coming Monday), and you can either listen to it via radio if you live nearby or use their web site as they stream 'live'. Here is what Wanda told me:

for your website information, the radio website is kkountry.com, 95.1 FM. Anyone living in the tri-state area might actually be able to pick up the station on the radio. I know most of MO and Arkansas, part of TN and Illinois also, can hear the program. Show starts at 1:00, ends at 2:00 Central time.

Wanda Garner spoke with Zoomie earlier today, and confirmed that the interview will happen this Monday.

You can listen to it whevever you are with a broadband Internet connection as this is live streaming (just click on the "Listen Now" big button on the left side of the Web site home page)!

Or listen to it on the radio if you live nearby.

Show starts at 11AM PST, Noon MST, 1PM CST, 2PM EST. See details below. Go Zoomie! smile.gif

Listening to the show live right now!

Also, Wanda Garner worked hard yesterday evening and published Rachel's (chakram) story on WomenAnglers.us. Click here to read more about the FFF Ohio adventure! Cool!
