This is really a nice scenic spot, in the woods, on the border of a leisurely river.

John, being modest as usual, forgot to mention that he actually hauled quite a good number of carp (5? 6?), while I was blanking... I deserve the wooden paddle, I guess... sad.gif So I had to resort to bass fishing at the end of the day to rebuild a bit of fishing confidence... blink.gif More on this in another thread tonight.

As to pics of John's captures, this will be for tonight as well... One of these carp had a incredibly large mouth! John had two rods, one with a floater, the other a more classic bottom set-up and caught with both. Quite a complete angler.

PS. Hey Rob, didn't see you at Brookline when I stopped by around 11:30AM? Any luck?

But John was the king today (as almost always when we go fishing together! This is undoubtedly John's year). Here he is with the biggest fish of the day, a nice 15 pounder (which is a pretty big fish for this section of the Charles).

Was that a catfish or roadkill?

It was a catfish.

I put the fish down to get the camera and the leaves stuck to it. I tried to remove as many as possible
before I took the picture, but I needed to get it back to the water as soon as possible as the hook
was difficult to remove from down it's throat.

John
