As documented in another thread, early Sunday morning, I spent quite a few hours watching a river flowing, boats passing, carp jumping, John W. hauling, and... me getting nothing.
When coming home, I was apparently not in the highest spirits my wife had ever witnessed... Smart as she is, she immediately figured out a cure... go bass fishing! Yes, my friends, shame on me, I cured my lack of carp by a plethora of small bass... The entire family went to a tiny little pond (Menotomy park, Arlington) which is full of hungry small bass nobody fishes for. Armed with a generous "dozen" shiners (which I exchanged against a pile of NACAs at the local tackle store Now, those of you knowing my family would point out that one member of the family is 3 years old (almost 4, actually) and no higher than 3 feet... Yet Felix hold his ground and caught his first bass EVER! All by himself! And with attitude! Here is the young & promising angler...

What is really funny is that we didn't put Felix on this rock, he asked for it, rightfully assessing that he would have more room to play the fishes! Smart!
And here is the historic picture of Felix with his first bass ever! And a very proud father... After such event, 18 bass nailed, plus 2 nice crappies... the morale was much higher than at noon. And next week, at Troy, I'll catch 20 carp! At least!

QUOTE (thescubadoc @ Sep 13 2004, 08:13 PM) Nice!!!! congratulations..... So?????? Nope. This only means that I'm pretty sure I know who will win the Junior prizes at the CAGI next year. Catching carp. And no, Neil, you don't count as a junior even if sometimes I wonder about your real age... PS. oh, by the way Neil, did I mention that you have a goal to line up at least 4 kids in Texas for the CAGI next year? -------------------- Jerome Moisand, Arlington MA
