![]() ![]() Guillotine Rig by Kim Wyatt, Canada I use this for pop-ups mostly, although not exclusively. You can buy very small split rings you know like a baby version of a key ring. The ones I bought are oval and are probably 5mm long. Upon this ring I put the hook. Also on this ring I put a micro ring to tie the bait to. I then tie my hooklink material to the split ring. Then I slide on a very small piece of 1.5mm silicone tubing about 4-5mm long cut at a 45 degree angle with the 45 degree angle going on the split ring from top right running to bottom left. I then tie a loop to the micro ring at whatever length suits my bait size. The silicone tubing is the most important piece to force the rig to behave exactly as required. It stops the hook folding back on itself and catching and tangling.
