Just about 10lbs - NW, PA Public Water
tiger nut/boilie combo
sorry for the Word doc, but i don't know how to load photos on here anymore..........

Keep it on topic guys. No personal BS on the forum!
Thanks Mario.
Holy smokes..............

True, but that's the nature of the beast.
Did that Wilhelm 21ber. that won the recent Shad Lure contest have a ripped lip (or worse after the long trip)???
A. 1st off, it was 21.5lbs
2. no ripped lip, it was a wild water fish
C. aerated livewell kept the beast alive just fine**** - sort of like the fish hauler's trucks that travel up north to stock the paylakes
....and there you have it.
****fish released back into the wild, no worse for wear
-
Another interesting observation is that i have never come across a carp with a ripped up mouth. All the fish i have hooked looked pristine and as if they were hooked for the first time. Is it the carp population so big or are they so resilient that they heal up so quickly?
Paylakes have 'em.

I've seen (twice) carp take Rebel crabs............
Personally, I have caught a handfull of sheepshead (freshwater drum) on these most wonderful lures.

. My local reservoir has been drained due to damage to the dam which was absolutely thick with carp ranging from 5-20lb real fun spot its guaranteed fish.
Seems like this is happening all over PA (Glade Run, Somerset, Tamarack, Dutch Fork & Hereford Manor) all in Western PA.........sucks, but dams don't last forever.............keep looking, there are carp everywhere.

That was really useful, why waste your time replying.........
Scott Osmond (the Oz) is a Massachusetts carp fishing legend. Sadly however, he has been banned from this Forum.
Useful or not, it is a true and appropriate response to the question that was posed.
I see no other Massachusetts residents responding.....at least now you have a starting point..............
here you go...........

You need to talk to the Oz.......................if only he were still around.
Sorry.

Unfortunately, I did not have her in the death pool....however, I am still holding onto 1st place with 30 pts (winning tie breaker with Ellen)

One or two CAG fish-ins were held here in the past...............
http://www.dnr.state...81/Default.aspx
no big fish were caught, but LOTS of fish were caught
Or you could try here..........
this one gets crowded as all get out - although i never actually got to camp on the beach. Maybe it's a little less crowded out there.
Hope this helps,
KK
Check out these as well..................

after seeing this, the CAG fishins may not have been at the State Camp grounds in OHIO, but possibly one of the other sites. Been awhile, so I no longer remember.
