westie....
if i was doing 100 nights trying to catch that fish then yeah, i would be thouroughly down in the tooth. it is a shame and there is no doubt that that carp as well as the other fine specimens that lake held (and still does) are a big part of uk carp fishing history. what i'm getting at is that the carp is now in the ground. posting stuff like YOU were the greatest carp and i hope YOU rest in peice is just plain ridiculous. if it wasn't then i'd be off down my local lake to ask the carp if they were going to take my bait today!
each to there own on headstones but it's certainly not for me. maybe we should have a small graveyard next to all lakes where we can remember the fallen carp?!!!!!!
You joke about headstones for your fallen carp at the lake, but as serious as the Brits take their carp fishing and naming fish, I'm suprised that they don't have them. At least that I know of.

we know several people including alex with Royal Carp, that fish here. several 30+ fish have been caught here including 30+lb buffs! it is just a boilie type of venue is what we were told. LOL
I have caught 100's and 100's of carp there. It is not just a boilie venue. I have caught on everything from boilies to puffs.
The water in the picture is very low there for a thursday. The dam ususally is emptying into the lower lake then.
When the water is dropping like that and is that low, the fishing slows to a craw. It is usually best as the dam opens and the water is starting to rise.
I do miss fishing there.

Can't say I ever pictured you with the vanity license plate!

Kent glad to hear you finally got out !
Did you know that there is a story of great lore told about you on the banks of swims late at night ? The story goes that you're not human. It is said that if someone were to pick up a mud ball and hurl it at you, an invisible force field protects both your gear and clothing. Further, it is rumored that you have the ability to handle buffalo and remain both snotless and stench free. Is this true ? If it is, it's a little bit scary.
I have also heard that if you were to pick up one of Big Bird's grits-laden rods, the world would end.
Bri doesn't call me the Howard Hughes of carp fishing for nothing!
I'm not allowed within 20ft of Big Birds carping rods.

Good stuff kent.
Didn't think you took a picture unless it was over 20 lol. Glad to see your out and catching.
I don't. Philip took these.
I have no idea what any of them weighed. I really didn't care. Just wanted to have fun again.

After 9 months of no fishing due to many challenges in my life. I finally got out. I had about 16 or so. Nothing huge but good to be out.
I'll even give John a plug. All my fish came on 3 year old K-1 boilies.
