Very nice write. Someday I want to go there as well.

I'll fish with anyone. I do miss fishing with Bri and English Bob. Always a great time and a laugh. Gordon is also good for big laughs.
Also miss fishing with all my TN, GA, NC, and OK friends.

Cap,
The "main man" must have had a glitch in his "job jar". He's answering all those prayers from 3 or 4 years ago ALL AT ONCE! Maybe you should have a chat with him?

I was thinking the same thing!!

In Acworth we have had almost 20". The roads all around my house have been closed. The lake on the golf course by my house has taken over the course and came across the road. I am in FL and my wife has been fighting water getting into our basement and a roof leak into my media room. For 5 yrs I have no problems and no I go to sell my house and this happens. Could always be worse I guess.

bigbird,
Wild story! thanks, I love chit like that.
KG,
Pretty assumptive on your part? Maybe, since his post didn't indicate either way, he had a permit? Second, I for one would not challange three antagnosits if they wanted THAT fish. Let's see, do I want to risk getting hurt - - - well NO!

Have you ever met big bird? He's like 9' tall and 400lbs! He would have crushed them little guys!
Assumptive, no. I fish for tarpon and I never had a permit. Very few do. There is no reason to keep them with the mounts you can have made today. Take a pic and measure the length and girth.
There is no food value to people. Taste horrible I am told. The only thing I know that likes them is hammerheads. I have been out 200 yards off the beach fishing for tarpon and have seen hammerheads to 14 ft swimming around. I wonder what those beach goers would have done if the saw those sharks!

yep i know that!!
i was just going to cut the line and let it go but the amigo had other plans. i told him NO KEEP NO KEEP!! he just mumbled something and him and his amigo just haulled it off to the truck.
this feller was cut up from head to toe after rasslin this fish on the coral rocks and stuff. at one time he rode the fish about 20 yards or so before he let go and with some encouragement from his amigo he QUICKLY swam back and got ready for another round.
i guess his family will eat a few days on that fish!
I can't believe they knew what tarpon taste like!

You need a permit to keep them. Costs $50. You could have gotten a nice fine. Nice fish.
