I don't know many places in NOVA. But I may be in for a road trip if somebody has some ideas?
-
Pretty cool!
-
I have never received any extra bill either??
-
I will be in Fredricksburg in a few weeks looking for places to fish also.

You might call the pond. The pond boss / owner will let you know what most fisherman are throwing. That will give you a starting point
-
What part of Ohio?
-
No special baits are needed for grass carp. They will eat what the commons do!
-
I never got hit with the extra tax from Johnson Ross either.
-
I can't say they are the best carp bait. They do catch fish. I don't bait with them either
-
Sounds great!

Most of the small lakes near me that hold carp are trout waters. I dont fish them till after June 15th just because the one rod nonsense.
-
I just dont like the idea of fishing one rod and having to hold it during trout season....lol Thats why i figured it be better after June 15th?
-
So after June 15th is the best time to start fishing it then.

Your boilie rod.....Is it just put out as a single boilie? Or do you have free baits around it?
I fish venues I know that one other person and myself are the only ones fishing boilies here and we fish together and we NEVER pre bait with them and they catch? It might change flavor from time to time or from bottom baits to wafters or to pop ups but we catch fish. I have used several different name brand boilies in the past and even tested for one company for a little while. I will say that I use K1 boilies 95% of the time when im boilie fishing.
Could it be the (most of the time) very large white pile of packbait this boilie is in that cause the fish to take them?
-
K1 has caught me a bunch of fish too. Maybe its your rig and not the boilie?
-
Is 4 not trout waters? I thought i seen where a permit is needed to fish it?
-
I have used pre payed cc in the past to do on line orders.

I have had a hi pod stand over 7 years now and still holds up fine. I had a set of the camo alarms in the case they lasted 4 years before I broke them. But like they say you get what you pay for.

Periods get in the way of stuff sometimes. Way to go Davy!

I would try light lead/sinkers in a running rig style set up. Im a line watcher so I dont use hangers/swingers all the time i will hang putty or foam off my line to watch for the soft line movements. I will try to hook up with you soon.

If only I could catch fish Willem..............lol

I am in SWVA .

Panko is good just mixed with water too. I grind my bread and add powder flavor to it

If you use kosher salt in your baits it will last longer.

If they stale keep using them. They don't go bad. I keep a bag of fresh ones and a bag of stale ones with me at all times. The stale ones tend to stay on the hook a little longer too.
