Dr. Frank Rink is relatively new to carp fishing. Having recently retired after nearly 40 years in education as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent, Frank learned the basics about carping from local northern Illinois anglers. He is constantly amazed by the strength of the species. Although Frank enjoys competition, he warns that one must always maintain a healthy perspective. "After all," he says, "it is still just fishing."
