  1. Hey guys, I know some of you are my friends on facebook and I thought ill share the link to my fan page, This was mostly requested from my YouTube subscribers ,I plan to post up new videos and updates from this year.

So if your on facebook, take the time to check out my page.

    Michigan Carp Fishing

    Thanks guys

    Nice new FB site, Kev.

Some of those Detroit River fish in the vid looked fatties - I hope 2011 brings a big river fish to you.

    Best

    Tim.

  2. John - you didn't mention this one yesterday....

I just saw it, Well done. I must get me one of these things this summer - lots of opportunity locally as the Parks and Recs around here seem to stock em!, Well up in the 40s and bigger than that too, so I am told.

  3. Hey Tim -- hope we can share some bank space this year.

Paul I usually fish Falls -- waiting for the water temps to steady about 55 degrees.

Hope to see all of you on the banks soon.

    Hi Tony

Good to hear from you and hope you are doing well. yes, It's time we share the bankside somewhere soon!

I'll coordinate with Paul & try to join you both when it 'warms up a bit'

  4. Hello to all of you ---- everyone I already know and those of you I will meet on the bank at some stage.

Sure you'll all agree we have a huge opportunity here in NC because so many waters are 'out there' for us to explore --- and some of them are rather large (!)

I wish all my NC carp fishing buddies the very best for 2011.

We have our big fish targets already set by Rick .... both for the CAG NC records and for 2011.

It's time we all get out there and start catching.............................

    All the best

    Tim

  5. Joel and KingCarp - thanks both for your guidance.

I now know what I want - will just wait until the 'necessary funds' are available  .

I have to say, the pictures on this thread (and what I have seen on cemex) make me VERY unhappy with the quality of fish pics I currrently take (10Mp Finepix).

Have designs on some kippers this summer & want to get the proper shot when it finally rolls over the netcord.

  6. Continuing the theme --- I too have been sold on RAW as the best digital format. I have been reading (on the excellent CEMEX Photo forum) that the best 'point and shoot' camera that will do RAW as well as a sensible (programmable) delay feature is the Canon G11/12?

Any thoughts, those of you who know this stuff??

    - I don't want the cost (or size/weight) of a full digital SLR for my Carp protography...

    I'd appreciate any vierws

    Tim

  7. Long time Louisiana native relocating to the Winston Salem area in 2011. Want to get back into Carp fishing and am looking for info on the area.I hear it's pretty popular in North Carolina. Fished mostly paylakes when I lived in Georgia years ago, but would like to fish for wild carp. Going to miss the saltwater fishing. I also like fishing for Stripers, Crappie, and Big Catfish. Bringing along my Bay Boat which should make a good striper boat. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Alan

    Hello Alan

    Welcome to NC!

A good few if us now in the central NC area who are gradually discovering what the NC wildwater carp fishing has to offer. Colin Peters lives nearest to you in Greensboro, and several other local carpers work in Greensboro.

Let us know when you arrive, hopefully the weather will be warmer and we can start to show you what fishing we have discovered.

With a boat, you will be in a great position to help discover more!

    Best regards

    Tim Marshall

  8. Good work, Danny - and 'Dennis the Menace' did us again. He says it's his juiced up bait - maybe that's so & perhaps he's on a hotspot, too?

    Well fished, Dennis my friend.

View from my swim as it got to 'all of you crazy carp fishermen go home' time---

Rick, Jacob and I spent time plotting what to do when the waters are warmer and those big fish are feeding --- so looking like next spring for that!
