  2. that is why I make my own. Boilies are expensive when you are buying 5+ pounds. It can be expensive making your own but if you keep it simple and only add what you need and just a bit more to give you an advantage they will work as well if not better than store bought. Mine have no preservatives and are fresh. I also can control the sweetener and flavor levels to suit the conditions. Maybe one rainy day you guys can come over and we can make a few pounds and see what you think

  3. I caught on my homemade boilies(duh ;) ) and unflavored maize sandwiched between 2 "big belly baits" plastic corn with an oats pack. I'd also like to add we didnt bait heavy at all, just method and pack. I threw out some boilies but not a lot.

  4. Thanks Andy. It was a great time and glad it worked out without many glitches. Big thanks to my wife Tiffany for being so supportive of me, Cag and carp fishing. Congrats to all the winners, travelers and locals who attended

  5. Austin Parks and Rec is not offering grass passes anymore. With a grass pass you could have drove your vehicle down to the peg and left your car. Due to safety concerns by the parks dept and the park rangers they stopped giving the passes out. Most of the pegs are on a hike and bike trail and the trails are very busy during all hours, even 5 am.

  6. i did a peg walk through with Augie and Mike today. Melrose is out, there are marker buoys all over the swim. I will have a final decision here in a day or so. Everything else is fishable. There is poison ivy in the Bamboo(homeless) swim as well as a little bit in the Richard Somerville swim so please be aware and dress/act appropriately

  7. As per ATXWheeler -- Any word on an official announcement on pegs? Only 6 days until the event :)

the pegs never get announced before the event so you guys will just have to wait till I decide which ones are getting pegged.
