the Columbus/ phenix city area of the hooch got me a personal best of 41 and some change. lake hardin just up stream has lots of 20's but is bowfished at the upper end.

not sure about fork lake I have only fished it twice but here in Alabama had to stop using clove oil seems the catfish go crazy for it.

if you look east the hooch has many lakes with parks for fishing lake harding, bartletts ferry, and lake oliver all near Columbus have plenty of carp.

here's my feeder for the past few years got a blank mould off ebay. have to drill 1/4 inch hole through for tube which is a thick crazie straw from hobby lobby. then six holes in sides for wire it is for tying rebar only a few bucks a roll. then i spray them with plasti dip for tool handles gives them a rubber finish that holds method well and prevents rust.

Been away for awhile but i'm back with a first timer and he done just great. let me say at the ripe old age of 12 and just wetting his feet. he handled him self like a seasoned vet. we got up to lake martin today and CJ caught his first which is also his largest fish ever. then just a short while he got his second. afraid he was going to bust with excitement i had to bring him back to earth. all it took was a shove off the dock and he was back. we had a great time and sure there will be future trips.

catch a lot of grassies down here most lakes have them for weed control. chumm with some soured milo they will root like hog you know by the bubble trails.

yeah i got koi's they are relaxing to watch. built a pond so i can sito n the porch and watch them just do nothing but eat looking for pond plants that the want eat.

try down the river lake harding or lake oliver. west point has three bowfishing clubs they keep larger fish killed out always caught lots of smaller fish never one over 12 lbs.
