  1. Sweet entries! Really like the boat swim! ...Only two more days to submit pictures of your favorite swims before this contest is closed and the voting begins!!
  2. 6 days left to submit pictures for this months contest! 14 members have submitted some great pictures so far!... Hmmm, there must be some sort of pattern here, that is the same number of participating members as our last contest (the odd, the sad and the ugly)
  3. One more week to submit pictures for this months contest!
  4. Thanks for your submissions Captain and very nice to see some pics from the Georgia, Florida border and the origin of the Apalachicola River!
  5. Looks like a challenging bank to fish on. Must be a good producing, "secret spot"
  6. Way cool! The most unique picture so far!
  7. Wow! You have submitted some great pictures Frank, 35 and counting! Some of these are really beautiful and amazing, and some familiar. What I am hoping, is that other members who haven't yet sent in pictures, would also contribute. Pictures can be sent in for this contest till the 26th of March. It would be great to see more pictures of swims from around the country and in other locals, like maybe Europe. Many areas we fish are also urban and photos containing city and townscapes would be cool!
  8. Many great photos have been submitted but only by just a few of you. FYI, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes go to three different contestants. Keep those pics coming!
  9. Hind sight is...how true. :lol:This contest will probably generate more pics than the beautiful carp contest! At first it's like "wow, so many pictures" and then it's like "man, are these some beeeeautiful pictures"! No problem... just come back and vote beginning on the 27th!!
  10. Good question Chris! Pictures can be from any month. As it is, we are still in winter which may make it difficult to get great pictures!
  11. Thanks for all your entries and votes! The “Best Swim Picture” took first place closely followed by “Most Unique Swim Picture”. There was a tie for third place between, “Best Short Story”, “Scariest Swim Picture” and “Fat Carp Pictures (Fat Girls). Really neat choices were made and we shall keep this list as a reference for future contests! As for now, this month’s new contest can be found here: http://www.carpangle...l=&fromsearch=1
  12. This month’s new contest will be for “The Best Swim Picture”. This is a purely a subjective contest, not necessarily based on it being the best producing swim but the best picture of a swim. This is an exciting topic as we get to see many of your favorite swims from around the country and world! For the next three weeks members can submit pictures with a short description of their “Best Swim Picture”. Multiple pictures are welcome. The picture would ideally have some fishing gear in it, but not required. Entries will be accepted till March 28th 11AM. Voting will begin March 28th and end on Sunday April 1st at midnight CST, top three finishers, decided by member’s votes, will each get a CAG iron on patch, a CAG fish tape measure, and a CAG mouse pad. First place finisher will also receive an available CAG shirt of their choice! As a bonus, good pictures can also make a cool computer desk top or may be used in this year’s CAG publication. Let the games begin!!!
  13. It is a tight race with the Best Swim Pictures ahead by only one vote! There is still time to vote!
  14. Our next contest will be of your choosing, vote for as many topics as you'd like!
  15. Ok. I'm probably putting myself out there but this is the plan.... - Keep submitting suggestions for the online contest! No more suggestions taken after midnight Friday. (this is where I might get in trouble ) - I'll put up what I feel are usable suggestions for a vote this weekend only! (or maybe this is where I'll get in trouble ) - We start the new contest this coming Monday!
  16. I'll bet you do! Along the same lines, Larry had suggested funniest fishing hat.
  17. How about the best fishing joke. Or best fishing story- probably a lot of tall tales
  18. The idea of a tape measure for online tournament pictures is great. I've yet to hear of a good reason not to use one! It was awesome when the CAG store came out with the CAG Logo tape measures, http://www.carpangle...e&do=item&id=48, and at only $2.99! But they haven't caught on "yet".... If the contest is for the heaviest, smallest, longest, or the like fish then It would be a done deal; no voting necessary. Kinda of like a tournament and there are plenty of those. So if we keep this to a contest, like Larry suggests it should be subjective as in what member's think and then vote to be the "best" entry.
  19. Nice. Cool suggestion! Ideas like this that can easily include everyone!
  20. New carp fishing camo? A lot of good suggestions so far, keep them coming!
