  1. Oddball - I would say New Jersey is probably 3 days by UPS Ground - no guarentees though.
  2. Where is here? Royal Carp is based in Georgia and uses UPS Ground by default so depending where you are depends how long it takes to get to you. I know it takes 4-5 working days to get to me out here in CA.
  3. Mark - I never buy flowers for damage control, a bottle of wine works better in my opinion
  4. Odball - flowers for a girl rather than fishing stuff!!!! Get your priorities straight dude
  5. Mark - PM me your address and I will send you a small sample (10 feet or so) so you can actually see the product (I have a bulk spool and I know some people in Austin got spools as part of the prizes). So far as I know it is only available in 40lb, about the same diameter as 10lb nylon, not really used it long enough to talk about durability but seems to be pretty good so far. Dyneema is a high strength "super braid" which is one of the world's strongest fibres. The line is tightly woven to produce a line that has reliable strength, near zero line stretch, is highly sensitive and has a small diameter.
  6. Sean - I don't have access to the mailing list but will let Alex know to remove you. Still need the email address it is going to though
  7. Sean - what Royal Carp mailing list? I know nothing of a Royal Carp mailing list. PM me with the email address that you are recieving stuff from Royal and I will talk to Alex about it.
  8. All - From today, Royalcarp are offering FREE SHIPPING on orders over $25 anywhere in the continental United States. Have a good day Best regards
  9. Oddball - Royal Carp are keeping the cost down by just operating on the internet at present. Alex is in Georgia so you could go visit him.
  10. Put a bulk order in with Alex guys, at least that way the postage will be less.
  11. Ricky - I will give Karl a bag for you when he comes back from the CAGI.
  12. Good job Mark - you never know Scopex boilies may find there way to you.
  13. Just a reminder to all that baits and tackle are available in the USA from Royal Carp. The baits have been used for Buffalo to 56lb 12oz and carp to over 40lb. Brian Nordberg and Phone also won the ATC using the Scopex boilies and babycorn pellets.
  14. Phone we will be trolling about 7-9 miles offshore with anchovies on cable hooks, 6-8 foot fluoro leaders, 1 to 2.5 lb leads on drop off sinker releases - oh and to top it all I am taking 4 women on the trip so I am bound to get skunked by them
  15. This weekends So Cal get together on the Sunday I fished a different area than the other guys. Was using the fish pellets with the Curacao dip poured over a whole bag. This mixture was then fished in a small pva bag with plastic corn dipped in the same dip. While the guys were struggling with 2 or three carp in the morning between five anglers of them I had 13 all by myself (Wendy was hiking with her friend) between high single and high teens, with most being mid teen size. This in a lake that is stocked with catfish so they should have been all over the fish pellets. I chose the curacao as it is very good in warmer water (water temp was 72), in fact the warmer it gets the better it works. Once water temps start going up in other areas I would recommend this flavour to anyone. Next experiment will be with the Royal Trout Pellets (not currently available here) - will let everyone know how they work. Of course that will be in a couple of weeks as this weekend is my first salmon trip of the year. The guys have had to go 9 miles offshore for the shoals but the fish have been way above average for this time of year (normally 12-18lb but have had a lot of 18-25lb so far). My buddies went out last weekend and limited out (6 of them on the boat two fish each) in 90 minutes (must have found a big shoal). I will be sure and let everyone know.
  16. Dean - I will show you them when I see you at Santee at the weekend.
  17. Wendy and I will be at Santee early on the morning of the 16th. Karl - when you getting there as I only have a small amount of fish pellets and no boilies until you arrive? Dean - I reckon a 1kg bag should do you at least 15 PVA bags. Apart from the 4 field testers (Karl, Scott, Richard & myself - along with our partners during the event) I know that Alex sold a bunch of the pellets to at least 10 other people
  18. Tommy - I wish I could tell you, Karl has all my baits as carrying tons of boilies, plus pellets and dips, back with me on the plane was not an option (I was already close to my weight limit). We are fishing with Karl and the rest of the So Cal guys weekend of the 17th April
  19. All - Please, if you catch carp using Royal Carp baits (boilies, pellets or dips) please send the pictures to me at keith.thompson@calcarpin.com. I will send the best ones on to Alex for the web page and all will be included in a gallery on my site when it is back up (by the end of this month if I don't do too much fishing )
  20. Jerome, we can discuss this with Alex in Austin.
  21. All - I just wanted to post here so that everyone understands exactly what my association is with Royal Carp at this time. I have no business interest in Royal Carp, I do not receive a salary or commission, nor are any of my flights/accommodation etc paid for attending events. If I was I would not be trying to sort out funds and vacation time to go to Len Perdic's Canadian competition or for the Kids event on the St. Lawrence. My position is simply as manager of the field testing team:- I receive the same bait as the rest of the team, in the same amounts and my only 'benefit' if you can call it that is that I get to pick and choose who is a member of the team. I just wanted to make this clear as a lot of people seem to think this is my company or I am getting paid. Regards Keith Thompson
  22. Scotty me boy: Just did a buy at Specialist Tackle for 2 of the alarms and it works out to $87 each delivered. Royal @ $150 each is a bit out of touch. You should tell your Captain. You failed to read Kev's fine print. The event doesn't start until May 1st. looks like Kev has fallen off the face of the earth. We're still walking on the water here in W-Mass. In reference to Next week-ends event the "GCO" ..... To inform you in case you have a few extra coins, cash only, as It takes a person of Polish origin to learn that all those buyers are bla-bla-bla. I'll be bringing a few items for sale. 12ft 3pc carp rods, $50/one, $90/two, $100 all 3... The last one needs work on 1 guide. Bought to outfit a son-in-law but it was not to be. Hats, $1 to ($5 french team item)($8 CAG official item).... Catapults $1 to $5.. Spare elastic available... Boilie rolling table, February Carpworld $5, etc. See you there: Fran Fran - I would just like to say that as team field testing captain I have no say in prices, I do not get a cut of preofits and have no shares or any other motivation to make people buy Royal. Therefore telling Scott to tell me is a very ineffective way of complaining about anything, why do you not email Alex at the web site and let him know, I know I have along with others.
