  1. Good day for you and the kids. I recall the Cub Scouts. Wonder how carping would fit into the Boy Scouts fishing merit badge? Any scoutmasters out there?

I am a scoutmaster for the Boy scouts and a Cub master for the Pack, I have taken many kids out for their fishing merit badge, HOWEVER not carp fishing as you have to prepare and cook for the badge, and I don' t need all the questions as to why we are not cooking our carp....LOL

  2. Well this weekend I took a group of 40 or so boys age 6-11 fishing and camping. My only goal was to catch one carp so they could see the size and fun of catching gold. Well we caught 7 carp from 9-16 pounds and one huge channel cat at just under 6 pounds. Enjoy the pics. Btw..i only got to reel i. One fish and thats because they were all trick or treating at the time. 14 different kids got to fight a fish they will never forget..

All caught using sweet corn as chum and two fake yellow pop up corn...K.I.S.S.post-4714-0-93271500-1382022643_thumb.jppost-4714-0-33118900-1382022567_thumb.jp

  3. If you aren't sure about boilies their flavored corns are the best I have used, although I have had a couple sessions so far this year where the 12mm pinenanna boilies have out produced sweetcorn when used side by side.

Really? Wow, might have to try them out, i trust tribals words but, seeing is believing

  4. Nobody edited anything, just like I told you in your PM accusing me from doing something to your access. I will post the full content of your PM to me later when I have time.

You mentioned something about getting a "Recorded" message when you tried to post last night.

Since it's not possible to do that on this forum, I believe it's either God trying to tell you something or you've got a virus. (My $$ is on the 2nd one)

PS - Unless you're breaking any forum rules, I really don't care what you post or what your opinion reflect. You won't find a more neutral Admin than me, even if I must say so myself.

I only care about the Official rules and regulations, not about petty carping BS and carp politics, people or their struggles in life :)

Ditto. Not touched one thing u have posted, also, not a good ol boy! I have held off commenting about your lb lake posts and finally cant any longer.

You seem to be the only one complaining about not catching, idc how much time u put on a body of water, your doing something wrong, ask all the people who caught and caught well, who didnt know the lake.

Also, i appreciate your skill and knowledge, however, i think you over think, period!

  5. No offense as I dont know u, but u must be from england or somewhere over there as if you were born and raised in the states you would laugh at your statement as i did. I know many many anglers who will contest that boillies are NOT the best bait for carp and will NEVER be.

Answer this, if u can go to a new water and throw one rod sweetcorn and one rod boillie, no prebaiting, which rod will catch first? I bet you 98% of the time the answer is sweetcorn. So, are boillies still the best?

So many people are sold on the crap thats used all over the world and when it comes to fishing the states for carp its simple, if your fishing a swim and there are carp feeding in it, your going to catch with just about any bait. Carp are not as smart here, they have no idea what any of what they see is, they will put everything in their mouth to see what it is. Throw a large rock of a different color and make up of their normal environment and at some time or another, every carp in that body of water will come lip on it.

I have yet to have confidense in boillies and im sure as hell not throwing 400 bucks in the water to hope i train them to eat it.

Now, if i had a private pond of my own and i wanted to fatten up my carp and train them to eat what i wanted to, then i probably would attempt to use a homemade hnv boillie. No way would i spend 6-8 bucks a pound on the boillies unless i made them.

I will be trying to use cny this year and thats it, no other vendor will get my money on boilles this year.

Boilies will always be the best carp bait, but you have to give them some free feeds and get them seeing it as a natural food source. That approach works better than just one on the hook. Trouble is some people buy a kilo of boiles and it lasts theme all season. Once they are on the boilies the bites will come thick and fast. Also just use one boilie type and keep putting it in. No point feeding different favors then how do you know which they prefer? It can take time but its worth it.

  6. Larry, my point was this, saying that cag or carp anglers are the common denominator isnt a good saying seeing as we r all on a carp website therefore we are all into the same thing. For example, i was heavy on another forum about a year ago who also thought it was funny that many of the people on that site had issues with cc fraud, well the culprit had nothing at all to do with that site. My thoughts are actually looking outside of the carp world. For me, i dont look at this as a carp thing. We r only, common because of the site we freaquent.

  7. I have had my PC checked again by US Tech Support (formerly Cyber Defender ) and there in nothing untoward that would have eminated from this end. It is just too coincidental for hackers to simply pick on unsuspecting targets, when as far as I can see the ,connection from reading all the reports, indicates carp anglers share the greater percentage of fraudulent hits. THIS IS THE COMMON DENOMINATOR. What other reason could be there be ? Perhaps they do not believe in catch and release?.

We (carp anglers) are the common denominator because we are on a carp fishing forum. If this was basketweaving.com than the common denominator would be different
