  1. New lower prices for U.S. customers We're hearing lots of good news about carpers catching new PBs and big fish on our tried and true CUKK and Monster Maize this season. If you haven't tried these great baits do yourself a favour. And if you're catching on NWC gear or baits why not send us a photo of the results- it's always great to hear from our customers. In the past week or so we've received shipments from Daiwa, ProLogic, Middy, 30PLUS, and Ron Thompson. Our new RT pods at a low price of 40 bucks are perfect for the beginner or casual carper. They're sure to sell fast. Also new from Ron Thompson are a couple of sturdy and affordable alarms starting at $9.99. And I'm very happy to have the popular Ron Thompson Tyran carp rod back in stock. This is a high value, dependable rod- great casting and playing action- and billed by RT as virtually unbreakable thanks to nano-fibre technology. For the matchmen we have some great gear from Daiwa, including the Connoisseur G20 pole and brilliant Barrowplat. We now stock the versatile 30PLUS IQ twin tip rod at a sale price of only $129 (reg. $159). To see all of our new items, simply click here: New Stock at NWC Lots of old favourites are back in stock. Our best selling Middy Mi3 float rod, Middy Match Tray, and Middy X-Flex catty are just a few of the popular items that have arrived. Daiwa's TD75 seatbox and feeder rests along with ProLogic Goal Post Fender kits (snag bars that sell out fast) are once again available. Check out our Specials for great deals on rods, reels, alarms, wallets, and more: NWC Specials And we now have lower prices for our U.S. customers thanks to a change in the exchange rates. In addition to selling great baits, NWC has recently received shipments of new tackle for some of our old favourites: Middy, Gardner, Jaxon, and 30PLUS. Middy's White Knuckle waggler rod, at around 80 bucks, has been popular. The Evox Carp runner reel- great features at a great price- could be a best seller this season. The big news is the arrival of our first shipment from Germany's famous Behr Angelsport. That's right- get the Behr essentials from New World Carp. 7. It's a grey, wet, and windy morning out there as the sun peeks over the horizon debating whether it should get up or go back to to bed. I love this kind of weather, so I am celebrating by putting NWC's top selling bait- CUKK sweet corn- on sale this week at a ridiculous price. Heck, same with the CUKK tiger nuts (pity the poor tigers...) For more info on our full range of CUKK baits, including the 40% off sweet corn sale (and Bomb-A at 50% off), simply click the link: CUKK Corn 40% Off

For more details, simply click here: ProLogic 2-Man Dome
  10. The carp that broke my whackingly expensive and not very well made custom float rod on Friday weighed all of 10 pounds. Such is life. Saturday I decided to take the Middy Mi3 Splash 'Em Baggin' Waggler out for a test drive. As you know, I don't usually write personal reviews about NWC's gear. I like to let the tackle and baits speak for themselves and our customers speak their minds. But when I do give an opinion it's an honest one and not just a sales pitch. (For example, if you're looking for a budget reel get the Jaxon, not the Okuma.). A guy stopped by as I was setting up. He was very enthusiastic about carp. Said he really wanted to meet that carper he was always hearing about- Stephen from New World Carp. 'Everywhere I go guys are always telling me about him', he said. 'Guy who's usually falling in the water when he's not tripping over his tackle? World's clumsiest angler? Carp obsessed freshwater Captain Ahab character?' I asked. Yeah, that's the one, he agreed. 'I'm him', I admitted. He hid his disappointment. 'Hang around for a bit. I'll likely fall in and catch some decent carp. The rocks are slippery and the bite's been good.' So, he hung around. Good company and good convo. His name is Norm. Within fifteen minutes of my first cast I was into a fish. After a few minutes I started steering her towards the net. As she came closer Norm pegged her at around 30lb. I thought less- maybe mid 20s. He fine tuned his guess to 32lb as she kissed the net. Norm is a fine judge of weight- she scaled at 32lb 4oz. Right from setting the hook to guiding the carp into the net, that rod was in control. The fish was played with ease and grace (all credit to the rod since ease and grace aren't words usually associated with my style.) In the space of two hours I had 6 fish on that rod and landed every one. I was exceptionally pleased and a bit surprised at what this rod could do- handling carp from the low teens up to the 20s and 30s brilliantly. It has now become my main float rod. One feature of the Mi3 that I really like is that it doesn't have the very small guides normally found on UK and European float rods. Around here guides can ice up in cold weather so the larger ones on this rod are a definite advantage. Personally, I think that this rod is a fantastic bargain. I love float fishing for carp and I have spent a lot more on rods that delivered a lot less. For more details on the Mi3, simply click here: Middy Mi3 Splash 'Em Baggin Waggler Oh, and NWC's best selling Jaxon Eternum 3.5lb carp rods are on sale at a silly price right now: Jaxon Eternum 3.5lb rods Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. 14. I hope that the season is starting off hot and happy for you all. Here in beautiful Hamilton-on-the-Lake Spring has been slow coming on and Summer is a distant glimmer on the far, far horizon. Whilst I, and many happy others, were slamming the carp in March and April last year, in 2011 water temps are still low, skies are wet and cloudy, and windy rain is today's special every day. Looking out the window right now what I am seeing is more March or November than mid-May. Oh well, the days can only get better... At least I have had lots of time to tackle up the Carp Cave. Over 50 new products have been added in recent weeks with lots more to come throughout the season (including Korum and Preston Innovations arriving soon). CUKK's new Tiger Nuts are already a best seller. Check them out, along with our new CUKK mussel groundbait, new flavours of CUKK sweetcorn, and old CUKK favourites here: CUKK baits Jaxon's bolo rods have become a surprise best seller over the past couple of years. We have added the Eternum Winner 6 metre to our line-up. And we have just received new high-attract Jaxon hookbait boilies at a great price- they come in convenient tubs that pack easily into your tackle bag and are an affordable alternative to pricey kilo bags of boilies. Why not give them a try, or the handy 350g bags of Fruit Bomb boilies (a mix of proven fruit flavours)?
