  1. I have as much nash stuff as anyone. Ive had very few issues over the years. Saw Brummie have a chair issue a few years back, it was a poor design. One problem with Nash is they develop products to fast IMO. every year they have an upgrade to products and of course nothing is cheap from cost standpoint. If I did have a problem I would work with the US vendor and if not satisfied I would get on the phone with Nash. I would not contact some sponsored angler that gets freebies to help me solve the issue.

  2. I plan to fish a few large state reservoirs, the Ohio river and great Miami river on occasion. I do have a pair of small okuma baitfeeders on 8ft rods I use for channel cat that may work on smaller waters.

river rick is your man for gmr info.

  3. Yeah rodman actually offered to show me some gear in my introduction thread. I may just see if I can take him up on that.

I will be home most of the weekend pm me your number I will see if we can work out a time to meet tomorrow could be best for me. Let me know

  4. Hoping to get in a couple of days before the event- maybe Thursday. Overnight fishing a little north of Holland for some big girls is the plan. I'd like to join you to catch some king salmon if you're planning any trips out during the run up to the weekend. As far as peg draw goes- I'd be in favor of drawing day two at the end of fishing on day 1

I would be up for an over night before as well

  5. No complaints here. I've never been to WB. Eagle Creek is pretty nice. Only been there once, but it did produce what I believe was my first 20+.

Sort of a funny story... I left my rods out at night and went to sleep. Zipped up the tent, took my glasses off and konked out. At some point in the middle of the night my left rod takes off. I was dead to the world at that point. After what seemed like hours trying to find my glasses, I put them on and took off out of the tent. Well, I tried to get out of the tent. You see, I tried to go out the side that did not have a door. At this point I have managed to wake the wife up. She wonders WTH I'm doing. Meanwhile the alarm is still screaming. I'm wondering how the entire camp was not awake. Phil was right next to us, I don't think he woke up.

The fun wasn't over!!!! I get out of the tent and make a sharp left towards the pod and trip over the tent cord that was staked to the ground. New and creative foul language was pouring out of my mouth. Alarm still taking off. I gathered myself, grabbed the rod and was hooked up.

Fighting the fish was the easiest part.

So, I get him to the bank. Grab the net. What happens next is baffling... The net arms just fell out of the block. You all know how much tension is on the arms of a carp net. How in the **** they simply fell out as I was trying to net this fish is beyond me. And of course they fell into the water. So here I am in the middle of the night trying to hold this rod under my arm with what was at the time my PB carp and trying to grab the net/arms out of the water and reassemble the net.

(^*&%*^)&^%*&^%$)*(&^!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY I had the fish in the net. I had to get a weight on this one. I get it in the sling, lift up and the scale says.....2lbs. 2oz. *** **** piece of **** ****ing rapala scale!!!!!!! So, I had resorted to the tape measure. 34" That week I ordered a Ruben Heaton scale.

these kinda stories make me smile as I have a couple myself.
